Q: had a leak in a wall, and the carpet is extremely damp. can this product be used after drying to prevent or eliminate growing mold in the area?

To be honest, I sprayed it on some vinyl blinds that had mold on it and it still came back. Not sure how good the product is

Yes, it does a great job on smoke odors. Charred wood is more difficult because of the penetration of the smoke. Spray/fog everywhere.
