The only drain cleaner my mom trusts — and now I understand why
This is literally the only thing my mom will put down the drains in her house, and after using it myself, I get it. It works — plain and simple. Slow drains clear up without that harsh chemical burn-your-nostrils smell you get from traditional cleaners, and it doesn’t leave me worrying about what I just poured into the plumbing. What I appreciate most is that Green Gobbler feels like a more environmentally considerate option compared to heavy-duty products like bleach or lye-based cleaners. It still gets the job done, but without that “I-hope-this-doesn’t-destroy-everything” anxiety. That peace of mind matters, especially if you’re using it more than once a year. It’s also straightforward to use and doesn’t require a ton of product — which makes it feel efficient rather than wasteful. I’ve used it as a preventative as well as for minor clogs, and it’s been reliable every time. If you want something effective that doesn’t rely on the harshest chemicals out there, this is a solid, trustworthy choice — and clearly one that’s earned long-term loyalty in our household.

Works great
These work perfectly for what they are intended. Make sure the drain does not have a stopper in place (remove it if you have one) before you begin with the powder. The plastic pieces remove hair easily. A good value.

Saves the day - convenient and powerful - but super stinky!!
I purchased the Green Gobbler Drain Clog Remover & Drain Cleaner Powder (5 Pacs & 5 Tools). All I can say is that this has saved my life several times when the bath drain was completely clogged with hair. It works within 30 minutes. I love the separate bags for one-time use - very convenient and powerful. However, the smell is also powerful and extremely awful - rotten eggs. The smell doesn't go away for a long time, even with an air purifier in the bathroom. But for me it's worth it because I live alone and it works every time and is so convenient and reasonably priced - much cheaper than a plumber!

Did the trick on a full toilet bowl and stubborn clog
For major clogs allow to sit a good 36 hours. Worked well! Be prepared for foaming.

Bought this because of meme, disappointed feelsbadman
I remember seeing this advertisement on TV and thought nothing much of it at the time. Saw a youtuber make a parody ad for this and it was so entertaining and I also needed to an unclog my bathtub and sink drain that I decided to get this instead of the usual drain fluids/gels. The advertisement made this look like it was a simple, pour bag in, add water, watch it disappear all in a few seconds. That was not the case. You need to add hot/boiling water for it to properly work and then let it sit for like 30 minutes. Then you have to flush it with hot water for a while. It doesn't instantly drop down like the commercial but instead slowly mixes with the hot water then goes down like a gel. At least it worked, though the smell of all the organic matter dissolving was very rancid. I had to do the process twice for the bathtub for it to drain normally. I'm guessing the build up of hair and conditioner probably caused clumps to build up and clog the drain where it didn't drain as quickly as it should but with a gel formula, I feel like the gel formula would have similarly done the job in 2 tries as well but without the smelly side effect. It says its green and good, don't know how true that is. It works, but not at the speed the commercial showed. Would I get this again? I don't know. Might just go to the hardware store to get the usual liquid types if I'm in a hurry. I also don't really use the plastic wands they give you. I feel like they are a waste of plastic. It kind works, but I think 1 is enough.

Green works like a charm
This one works great for all drains, just follow the direction and it is best to leave overnight! Do not skip this step! Then flush with boiling water. May need a couple of runs.

It Works Well to Unclog Sinks and Tubs
My wife uses it on all our plumbing clogs. It worked like a charm on our bathroom sink recently.

I've used Green Gobbler for a few years now and haven't gone back to any other drain cleaner since. Between this powder and the stick form (which is for upkeep and odour control rather than drain clearing), I've been issue-free since I started using these. I am really sensitive to scents, but these do not trigger any of the reactions that perfume can cause. When you first pour the powder into the drain, you'll probably get a funky smell, almost like bad eggs, but that's just the enzymes working on all the bio matter gunk. It will go away when you rinse the drain. It's best to rinse with hot water. I usually boil the kettle, give the water a minute to cool, then use that to rinse. It leaves behind pipes that look and act brand new! Amazing stuff. I've used it with my sinks, tub, toilet, and the drain for the washing machine. A friend of mine even used it with a seriously gross dishwasher left by a tenant, and she said it's now like brand new. No, I'm not being paid by Green Gobbler! This is just great stuff! I will add, for things like the toilet and the washing machine drain, I've found it's best to let the powder sit for 24 hours if at all possible, or at least over night. Safe for metal and PVC.

It actually worked, after 3 packets and a couple of days. The sink had been slow draining for a long time, tried everything else so thought I'd give this a go. Filled the sink up to the top with hot water after the previous attempts and the pressure forced everything through.

My kitchen sink had been running slow for a while, I used the pre-mixed liquid and it only got better for a while for a few days and then it's slow again. So this time, I decided to give the powder packages a try, because why not. Poured 2 packages down the drain, added in some boiling hot water and left it overnight. The next morning, poured a huge pot of boiling water down the drain and wow it had never drained that fast before. The smell was super nasty at first, but that's how I knew it worked and dissolved all the nasty gunk inside the drain. I think the powder worked so well was because it stayed in the drain longer, thus dissolved more gunk, as opposed to going straight through in the blink of an eye and doing nothing. I will only use this from now on for sure.
