HALO SleepSack 100% Cotton Swaddle, Cream, Newborn

Nice product although costly.

These swaddles are the best I’ve tried on my newborn but still not perfect. We tried regular muslin swaddles and other brands of velcro swaddles but our baby kept breaking out of them and lifting the fabric too high up her face which was worrisome to say the least. These are the only ones she won’t fully break out of. She can still get her arms out and sometimes we leave them out intentionally but she can’t lift the fabric above her face. Unfortunately; she also has a habit of turning onto her side the second we put her on her back and these swaddles don’t help with that at all. Regardless, they’re the only swaddles we’ve been using. One major drawback, however, is that the velcro keeps sticking to and pulling the stitching. I don’t think they’ll last too long because of this but luckily, the baby will grow out of it soon enough anyway. Additionally, the swaddles take forever to dry in the dryer. I usually run them through for 120 minutes on high and they’re still not fully dry! EDIT: our baby eventually started breaking out of these swaddles as well so we tried Happiest Baby Sleep Pea swaddles and those are the GOAT!! 100%. She wasn’t able to break out the entire time we were using them (except for a stray arm here and there) and they helped keep her on her back.

I am a first time mama, and was so excited to use this swaddle because it had such great reviews. At first, both baby and I enjoyed it. However, after you wash it a few times the velcro doesn't stick anymore. It was super disappointing, especially given the price. The velcro lasted maybe a month. We switched to a different swaddle and are much more happy with it.

Pros: Safe swaddle, velcro is thick and wont come undone, gender neutral Cons: A little thick I received another Halo SleepSack as a gift and my LO really liked it. I was washing the SleepSack every other night and decided to order another one from Amazon. I chose the cream colored because it is gender neutral, which I suggest because the quality of SleepSack is made to last. However, I noticed this SleepSack seemed a little thicker than the one I got as a gift from a relative. The thickness of the material is not exactly a negative if our LO does not outgrow it before it becomes cooler. The Halo SleepSack is different then the other "swaddle" sacks I have tried since he has been born. I bought a bunch on Zulily made by the manufacturer "Summer" and my LO was able to Houdini out of it within 10 minutes. I wish I had bought it through Amazon and could return it. Oh well, live and learn. Another great thing about this SleepSack is that you can swaddle your LO with his/her arms in or out. Unlike the Sleepsack from Summer, my LO could not wriggle his way out of it when we swaddled with the arms in. Now that he is older, he no longer likes to have his arms swaddled in. I really like that I am able to give him a nice partial swaddle on his legs and body that makes him feel warm and snuggly. He seems to like it too! This is perfect for the wailing baby that needs to feel warm and snug. I suggest you try it if you are looking for a safe swaddle without the hassle and worry that somehow the blankets will come undone and suffocate your LO (maybe not all FTM have that thought, but there is a great many of us that do)!

Highly recommend this swaddle sack! Love the options of swaddle with or without the arms. Keeps baby at perfect temperature not too hot. Very very soft material and so much easier than swaddling!

Makes swaddling our newborn so much easier and also less scary! We really do love this sleep swaddle. I would say our only complaint is that it takes around 3 hours to fully dry in our dryer. I don’t believe it to be an issue with our dryer due to the fact our dryer easily drys an XL load in around 1.5 hours. Even if this is the only item in the dryer it still takes 3 hours to fully dry for some reason. If it didn’t take so long to dry for us it would easily be a 5 star item!
