Dashcam works great, sharp picture, vivid, and excellent at night, last dashcam I had wouldnt show anything at night, this one does. Read the reviews on this particular dash cam and it very true to its ability.

There’s definitely much nicer upgraded versions from Viofo and other brands but this was a go to model that i still use today. There is no frills to this cam, but it’s an easy install, spend some time carefully tucking them behind panels. Use a good SD card made for rewriting over and over. It has clear video from what i can tell and the anti glare lens helps for sunlight and headlights at night.The cam is priced right and runs at 2k or 1080 depending on the version you get. I have this in multiple cars.

I'm getting a new dash cam and decided to write a review for this. The reliability is top notch, never spontaneously failed on me... till now: 3 years later and now for some reason, it decides to stop recording after 17 seconds and just keeps beeping.Pros:Very reliable, never had an issue in terms of the camera turning on when the car starts and the picture quality was what I needed it to be. The settings were very nice and it saved on MP4 files, so no hassle downloading the videos.It also survived a car crash and still kept running for another two years so it's structurally sound.Cons:It never remembered the correct time between turning it off and on.Was a bit bulky so I never felt completely comfortable wherever I put it on the windshield.

Buy the biggest capacity memory card you can for this dash camera. Now go buy the lens filter protector thingy for this camera as well and don't forget to buy some gorilla tape as well to replace the stock adhesive on this camera. Congratulations for around 150 USD you have one of the highest quality dash cameras with hours of footage available.Your settings will differ depending on your vehicle usage, but I highly advise and recommend you to set this camera's recording resolution in ultrawide (2560x1080.) This resolution (at least in my car) allows the camera to completely see everything in front of it, and line up more with what the driver is able to see behind the wheel. In ultrawide recordings the camera is able to see my entire front hood, but in regular 1080P (16:9 recording) the front "corners" of the hood are cut off. Please set your camera in ultrawide recording!If you live in a hot area like me (Houston, Texas. and it's humid as hell here) your stock adhesive will melt off during the summer! Personally I installed this during the summer and it only took a week for the adhesive to melt off! There is nothing you can do to prevent this, once your stock adhesive melts go buy some of the strongest version of "Gorilla Tape" you can, and make sure it's double sided! Once you stick on that gorilla tape it's not going to move or come off!During the hot and humid Houston summers (especially after replacing the stock adhesive with gorilla tape) this camera is absolutely incredible. Not once has the camera acted up, over heated or given me any issues (other than the stock adhesive melting.) With the lens filter thing, this camera is able to see perfectly fine during any time of the day or night. Everything is recorded perfectly crystal clear and this entire dash cam unit is tiny as hell. One time I had a dude road raging at me and followed me to work and not once did he notice the dash camera recording the entire situation. Even when he walked right up to my windshield and was standing over my vehicle did he notice the dash camera! The unit is literally able to hide behind your rear view mirror and no one will notice that a dash camera has been installed on the front of your vehicle.I won't lie I was terrified, but imagine that! Nobody notices this dash camera! All my friends, family and even myself have to really look hard for a few seconds to recognize "Oh that's a camera."Please buy this dash camera and the extra misc. items to make this the best dash camera ever! You probably spent thousands on your vehicle, what's a couple of hundred bucks (at the most) to have 24/7 recording footage of your vehicle.

Excellent video quality! Setup was very easy with the included brackets and adhesive. User interface is pretty easy to navigate, and the GPS feature is a big plus. Very satisfied with this camera compared to alternatives that don't have a capacitor.

This camera is a total disappointment for the price you pay. I have purchased over 8 different Dash Cams in the last few years and I have one on each of my vehicles so far this is the most expensive camera I have purchased thinking that it has good reviews and has the GPS integrated. Well, let me tell you that the $29 dash cam has the same cheap lagging software, the same sound on the start-up, the same cheap menu, and the video recording it is not above any of the other cheap cameras that you can find on Amazon for less than $35. The only difference is the GPS that not all the other cameras offer that. But many others offer WIFI for less than this one and even this one does not have WIFI. The most disappointing part is the incorrect information posted on the camera description about the Parking mode. Yes, it has it on the menu, BUT no it does not work by itself as all other cameras do because they have a rechargeable battery inside or a capacitor that feeds the camera when it is not connected or plugged in. So, if you want that feature you will have to hardwire the camera to constant power to your vehicle so it can record all the time, something you do not want to do if you want o keep your vehicle battery in good health to turn your car on after few hours being off.The camera record when it wants and then stopped recording and the rec light flashes rapidly waiting for maybe some movement. don't know this is the only camera that I have that does that. So if you are in a red light it does stop recording, something that you don't want because it may miss the action that was intended to record.I contacted CS about the issues I was having with the camera and they offered to replace the camera but only if I send mine at my own expense and once they received it and test it, they will issue a replacement. If I don't want to wait, I will have to pre paid them $60 for the value of the camera and they will send me a replacement one but I will still have to pay the shipping for the defective one. Something that should be covered by the manufacturer because it is under the warranty time period. Keep in mind all this information was obtained by the CS of VIOFO in a time-lapse of 2 weeks of emails back and forth because they take forever to respond.So if you want all the main features of this camera at a realistic price for the quality and software that you get, simply get another camera that is half or less than this one. It is not worth it. If I knew about all these issues during the Amazon return period, I would have it returned it immediately.
