Happy to have found this cd.

Ordered these 3 CD's for a friend who is confined in a nursing facility. He's a major Buddy Holly fan and loves them.

54 songs of simple, brilliant rock n’ roll. Stunning vocals, guitar, production, and pace. All other instruments are fantastic.The songs aren’t long but feel long enough. There’s much more clarity than on some of Elvis’ songs. Holly tragically died very young but his influence is staggering. McCartney saw him play in England and almost instantly became a lifelong super fan. Springsteen worships him. John Mellencamp said the music on the Beatles’ first three albums copies the Crickets’ style.I bought this for under $12 on Amazon and it’s still around that price. The discs come in a cardboard package and are slipped into separate sleeves. The sleeves don’t have tops and the discs can partially leak out so you need to be careful. There’s a nice write up about Holly and his music. There are a few pictures of the great man but none of his band.Owning these songs is a must for any rock music fan who appreciates greatness, what it was like at the beginning, and what’s greatly influenced a large amount of incredible rock music. A huge bargain at this price. Be cool and own these songs.

Great old artist love this music fantastic,Don't have this kind of music anymore recommend this album if along that age group.

Buddy Holly was one of many of my favorite Rock musicians of the 50s and 60s , and I am sure that Buddy Holly and the Crickets would have had more Hits , if it had not been for his , Ritchie Valens , and the Big Boppers untimely deaths . Buddy Holly unique way of coming up with Lyrics for his and the Crickets Hits , he was one of the best at writing Rock music to fit him and the Crickets Rock music interest .

A sweeping collection of one of rock and roll's finest! I'm a Buddy Holly partisan, no question. I consider Buddy Holly & The Crickets to be the best of the 1950s rock and roll bands. (The Beatles were the best of the 1960s; The Ramones the best of the 1970s; and after that, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. Best rock LP would have to be The Beach Boys' Pet Sounds. As you can see, I love great songs, rockin' songs with heady melodies, with room for a beautiful ballad.) High points for the packaging of this set. I love details like making the tops of the CDs look like little 45s. All this at a bargain price? Well, all right!

An all-inclusive collection with good quality sound. I'm so happy to be listening to my favorites and some new ones (to me).
