the lift lever is very hard to open when lighting the wick.

Very pretty. A little smaller then expected. I guess I should have paid more attention to details, but so pretty.

Item works as it should, but for the money, was rather surprised at the overall quality of the build. At this price, and with a known name, I expected it to be much higher quality than say a Walmart copy, but it is actually very similar in overall weight and construction. I do regret now not going for the slightly larger model that was only a few dollars more but had a wick that was nearly double the thickness. The small Wick makes for a considerably narrower flame, and therefore does not put out very much light. The overall aesthetic is quite good though, and the warmth of an oil lantern is preferable to an LED lantern. I think if I choose to add another hurricane lantern to my preps, I will try and find an old “pre-China” model on eBay or even a garage sale as I have heard they are better construction in the “made in USA“ days.

The lantern logo on the glass came off instantly,it can't compare to the original, I recommend you go on ebay and buy a 100 year old one, the new ones are cheap and notmeant for use
