Great bit of kit and essential if you want an easier work flow in post production. Makes colour grading easier. It's got a nice loud clap because it's hefty, so beware this is going to add some weight to your kit, more than I expect to be fair.People complained that perhaps the original signage might rub off so I ordered a screen protector to stick to mine so that won't ever be an issue but I guess it would rub off eventually so take that precaution and don't moan about it after if you've been told it will rub off if you don't.

It looks the part and is lighter and more compact than the real ones, but was great as a gift and even saw action in a proper movie!

I have been using this for a couple of weeks now and it holds up really well. It is easy to clean and light enough to carry around. It even looks good as a display piece when you're not using it.I wouldn't recommend you push the pen in all the way into the pen storage point on the top bar. It will certainly get stuck so just push it lightly in. Mine came with a chip in the top also which was a little disappointing.

Very much a novice film maker and this clapper does what I need.

What I love about this board is that you also can put a wipe board pen in a hole the top part of the board (which They supply 2 pens with it) allowing you always to have a pen at hand. Just dont push it all the way in when putting it back. The board wipes off easily.

Bought this for exactly what it is, a basic clapperboard. It performs this task well although some of the bolts did work a little loose on the first shoot. The idea of keeping the pen in the sticks is clever but the pen only goes in one way (cap first) which makes for some fumbling in a hurry. Not the finest of quality but what do you expect for this price?

As many others have reviewed, the screws are not exactly secured well. My board arrived pre-loosened. To remedy that, I purchased some 'LocTite'-like fixing agent and tightened them up.Only time will tell if doing this will outlast the longevity of the actual board before being a victim on fragile plastic cracking in normal use. Not exactly as robust feeling as you would hope...
