This Finnish licorice candy arrived from abroad in a nicely packaged box. When the flavors first hit the palate, beware. This candy is not for people who like mild tasting candy. The first flavors are strong and salty; after awhile, eucalyptus and citrus flavors dominate. Delicious! I can't wait to find out what other Scandinavian treats are available.

I had tried this product before, at a Finnish festival in Maryland. I loved it! My husband, who likes regular licorice a lot more than I do, hated it. I was excited to see that it is available on Amazon! I plan to be a regular buyer!! It is candy that has a very strong taste that is not sweet, not sour. Very salty, but there are interesting underlying flavors that I can't figure out. I want to say the taste is "nasty", but in a really good way. (I know that doesn't make much sense.) You won't know if you will like it intil you taste it, but it is an adventure worth trying .

I fell in love with the strong salty licorice flavor of this candy, I cannot get enough! Also, it arrived 2 weeks earlier than anticipated! What a wonderful surprise! Will definitely be reordering more as soon as I start running low.

Nice and strong - just what I like!

Ok, the beige ones taste *AMAZING* but as much as I love wierd candies, and especially exotic types of licorice, the black ones are not my cup of tea. I think it's mint, but if mint was weaponized and combined with licorice.
