Goldman-Cecil Medicine, 2-Volume Set (Cecil Textbook of Medicine) 26th Edition

In this world of everything digital, there is still no replacement in having solid textbook to read. This can not be more true than this excellent tome which has been published over many decades now. I prefer Cecil over Harrison in the way this textbook is laid out, its print (fonts), graphs and of course in the depth information. This version is very readable. Anyone beginning their residency should plan to read through the entire text in their three years. I prefer to read a chapter of interest each week and still use a highlighter and margin notes as well as keep a notebook of key take home points for later reference although this version has excellent tables. This is were using the electronic version - which comes free with the textbook - allows you to access these tables for printing. A must own book of all Internists. Granted it will not be your COVID-19 source due to its printing date but the online access provided with this book will be - thus it never becomes outdated and depth of this book is much deeper than Up-to-Date which is my go to source during work hours.

Cecil Textbook of Medicine 26th Edition is a refined & improved version of the prior edition. I have been reading this book for about 20 years. Text provides focused, concise and comprehensive review of Internal Medicine and far exceeds in terms of practicability & connectivity with day to day practice when compared with contemporary texts like Harrison's Textbook.Challenges to modern day clinicians are multi-fold including excessive use of technology ( labs, Rad ), excessive workload, compromising bedside evaluation resulting in inability to follow chronological clinical reasoning.Taking time to read a text like "Cecil" may help circumvent some of the contemporary challenges...

This is the best Internal Medicine book. High quality pictures, good explanations with free online resources like a updated information and videos. I recommend Goldman-Cecil 100 percent, good inversion for IM residents and specialists.

Totally good except for some tiny damage on the title page.I live in China and I don't want waste my time on exchange.So, I choose to ignore it.
