5 stars because it is sturdy and nimble, and so affordable!!! Easy to maneuver and fit in tight spaces although you might encounter narrow doorways (closets, bathrooms: measure to be sure). The leatherette seats are durable and low maintenance, the wheelchair grips are easy to manage and wheels about with little effort or strength required. You can use it for long periods of time without your arms getting tired at all.It looks and feels like a high-quality item, I am very pleased with the price.This is heavier than some of the other models, but I see this as a benefit, it feels durable and tough. No need to worry about the seat giving way if you land heavily when transferring into the chair, or if you are a larger person or have heavy medical equipment, this chair can handle extra weight easily, I've had no fear of it tipping or leaning, it's got a nice stability lacking in most other models. Constructed well, no rattling or loose joints. Nicely engineered.It's fairly "attractive" as wheelchairs go, it wheels about nearly silently. I'm using it for a broken leg and it's the best part of my injury, it's fun to wheel it around with precision and go faster than I ever walked. Worth every single penny. Yes, I've seen lots of other models, and some look and feel very fragile and unstable, not this one, it's built to last.

Great Wheelchair! Easy to maneuver and leg rests come on/off easily. I went to a local store and purchased the "standard" footrests with heel strap for times when I don't want to use the extension leg/foot rests.Folds and opens SUPER EASY, even using a one-hand approach. Just PULL UP on middle front or back of seat to close and PUSH DOWN on left or right edge of seat to open! Light enough to get into car or truck without breaking my back. Super comfortable.What more can I say? I bought the 16" wide seat and it is AWESOME! Fits like a glove and the arm rests are perfectly placed and come on/off easily.

We were looking for a narrow wheelchair to fit through doorways. The 16” wheelchair worked well. We have used it for five weeks. The chair is not the most solid, but it’s good enough. The one leg rest got stuck in the upright position, but customer service replaced it quickly. The leg rests are a little tough to get on.

I liked my previous wheelchair that was destroyed in an auto accident, So I had to get a new chair to replace it. I wanted one with the "desk style" arm that was pictured in Amazon's advertisement. I received one with the full length arm. Since I needed a wheelchair immediately, I decided to keep what was shipped to me. It has filled my needs, and most of the time I like this one more than my previous chair. I can recommend this chair to anyone. If you work at a desk everyday, be sure to specify the "desk style" arm. My chair arrived with all the parts. Nothing was bent or out of shape, but the box is large and heavy. Have someone who can help you with it after it is delivered.

Sent a cheaper chair, I sent a message they never responded. One of the brake handles already stripped - cannot tighten. Need replacement chair or left brake.The first two Drive chairs did not last long, the previous Drive chair is the reason my Mom broke her left hip. Insurance would not replace since it was less than five years old. I bought this chair out of my own pocket, now this one is dangerous. Need a good brake on each side. My mother is petite and fragile.

Super easy to assemble and use. Fits through the narrow doorways in our hundred year old home. My husband had no problem folding this up and in the trunk of our Volkswagen ! Much cheaper to buy this than rent a wheelchair after a recent foot surgery. Excellent value. Would definitely recommend this product

Arrived in large box. Chair already assembled except for leg rests which are easy to attach. Chair was rolled out of box, protective plastic was removed and chair was ready for use. Very sturdy and well designed. Get vinyl seat because it is easier to clean. This was an extremely worthwhile investment.

He had an Invicare chair that I had bought used. It was approximate 12 years old when I bought it and 21 years old now. Looked almost new when purchased but the bushings, etc., got bad and we couldn't find parts. Plus, getting it fixed will cost about as much as this chair, IF parts can be found or substitutes for parts found. The Invicare chair was super comfortable, but it was literally falling apart. I first tried to order an Invicare chair of similar price but it was out of inventory with no anticipated date so I ordered this one. He likes it very well--not as well as he'd like his 20 year old chair IF we could get it fix but still it passes muster. This one is not as heavy duty (20 years difference in construction) although it may be as strong. He loves the way it maneuvers. He is not, BTW, confined to a wheelchair, but he cannot walk more than 70 or 80 feet at a time. He propels himself and is not using the foot rests but they appear to be very durable.
