Nowhere does it say which side goes to the outside. Assumed the mirror-like side faced outside, but when trying to install that way,it did not stick and just rolled back up - DID use plenty of soapy water on both the window and the film. Turned it over and it seemed to stick better and not roll up, but still not sure if proper side is facing outdoors!

Opened the box, took the product out and the whole roll had a wrinkle down it.

Purchased to block NM heat. Not as effectively and didn't adhere as well as boss black out I previously purchased.
