Nice quality glasses
This set arrived in great condition. I've had others arrived broken, so I appreciate extra care taken in packing. Very pretty and easy to hold.

will last a lifetime
I’ve had these for over five years and never even chipped one. Recently started freezing a bit of water in the instead of using ice trays, no issues. Just extremely good quality, and I also recommend Homer Laughlin plates that I got from goodwill

Too Dangerous - Throwing It Away
I requested a few sets of Duralex glasses on my wedding registry two years ago because I liked the look of these glasses and was attracted to the “stronger than regular glass” advertisement. In the short run, these glasses worked well and my family enjoyed them.At some point we broke a glass, knocking it into the sink. It broke into MANY pieces, and not just cubes or chunks but also MANY tiny pieces that required even more careful cleaning than normal. At this point, I was a little disappointed it broke because I thought it should have survived, but a normal glass would break in this case also. The next time we broke a glass, my wife was putting them back into the cupboard and knocked the glass against the edge of the cupboard. It also broke into MANY pieces, but we have never broken a normal glass this way before. We figured it was just a fluke, it must have hit just in the right way.The third time we broke a glass, it rolled out of my hand while I was washing it in the sink and dropped about 1-2 inches onto some bakeware and EXPLODED into MANY pieces. I say exploded because glass in the sink made it up 3-4 inches above the lip of the sink and scattered around it. There were even more tiny shards than I have seen before and I spent close to an hour cleaning it all up.On searching the internet I found that “exploding Duralex” is a thing, and that it has even happened to some people while they are holding onto a glass without dropping it (in rare occasions).I am going to throw all these glasses into the trash tomorrow because I can’t trust then and the clean up has been worse than normal glasses. It is a huge disappointment because I bought these glasses to be safer for my family and they are more dangerous than normal glass. I would recommend avoiding this product as it does not seem nearly as consistent as the tempered glass we are used to in cars.

Love These French Manufactured Glasses
For more than half a century, I have held these fine Duralex glasses in my hands, their steadfastness a quiet companion to my daily rituals. Never once have I seen them betray their form, bursting into shards as some have claimed. No, these glasses, handsome and radiant with a clarity that catches the light just so, remain as true as the first day. They fit in the hand as if they belong there, familiar and reassuring, an emblem of all that is enduring and good.
