Women Foldable Organza Church Derby Hat Ruffles Wide Brim Summer Bridal Cap

I bought the purple hat. It comes all rolled up (i.e. foldable). When I laid it out the crown looked too big, the brim was way too large for me and the whole thing just flopped down into my face. I was really discouraged. What I ended up doing was crimping the wire edge of the brim, all the way around, just like a pie crust; then rolled the brim up. This made the brim more rigid, pulled it away from my face, and made the hat more pleasing to me. The last step was to pull the black sizing elastic to fit my head size and tie it in a bow. Now I'm very happy with the hat and am considering ordering it in red too (I'm a Red Hat Lady)... :D

I am not happy with this purchase. The hat is advertized as foldable and that is how it arrives, folded up in a plastic bag. It looks nothing like the pretty picture. No instructions on how to fluff to remove the creases and make it look like a hat. I have tried smoothing it out to reshape and fluff it up but it keeps folding back up. Maybe it will win worst hat at the Derby party.😞 I'll stick with purchases I can do in person, this wasn't a good experience.

I was really apprehensive about ordering this for a garden party I was throwing but it ended up being my favorite hat out of all the hats I ordered. It does come flattened but with a bit of work and some time, it ended up looking quite lovely. Make sure that you have at least a week before your event to shape this hat properly. I used a lot of steam from my iron (no touching, just steam closely) to steam the entire thing. You can also steam it over a pot of boiling water. Then after steaming for 5-7 minutes, I shaped it as best as I can. Once I had the brim shaped properly and the ruffles fluffed out, I inverted the hat and placed a bunch of thick rolled up socks inside to fill out and cap part. I left it like this for about a week and the hat looked magnificent the day of.

After reading so many negative reviews, I was a bit skeptical about ordering. I'm so glad I did! While it is a little scrunched from being folded, it is straightening out just fine after just a few hours. I may still steam it a bit but really don't have to. It fits perfect without making any adjustments. It is absolutely beautiful and will be perfect for going to a Derby party! Very happy with purchase!

I'm going to a Derby party and everyone said you have to have a derby hat! I saw this and picked it because of the iridescent purple/blue color it looks so pretty in the picture! I don't know anything about derby hats! It just came to me today & it's beautiful in person as it is in the picture!! I love the fact that it can be folded down to store it for years to come! I'm now excited to be going to the Derby party to sport my new Derby hat!! Purple is my favorite color and this hat is just awesome!!

I am so disappointed. The hat was supposed to be "foldable and packable". The hat was stuffed into the smallest shipping box they could find. It has so many "bends" in the frame, it will never look right because you can't straighten every inch out. . I'm sure the person in the warehouse had fun packing it and laughing to see how small they could twist it. I think the hat would have been pretty.

Looks nothing like the picture but for $10 it will be fine for the party. I’ll try to steam it and see if I can improve it a little. One side flops over way too far so I’m going to have to rebuild it.

I hot-glued large metallic plastic eggs to this hat to wear at a neighborhood Easter parade. It took a little bit of work to get the brim situated correctly, but overall, it did the job.
