Works great, priced right, chainring is removable!
This is a 44t single chainring crankset. If you have a 68mm square-taper bottom bracket on your bike, this is "plug-and-play". It is a 5-bolt 110bcd chainring, cranks are 170mm. I used it to replace the 3spd front cranks on my Trek Verve 1 to make the bike a 1x7 drivetrain instead of 3x7. I just don't like dealing with a front deraileur. It fit right into place, no problem. One thing to note: while the crank arm attached to the chainring is non-removable (it is riveted in place), the chainring is held in by standard chainring bolts! That means if the 44t ring is not right for your bike, you can order another 110bcd 5-bolt chainring and swap it out!!! I eventually did this, replaced the 44 with a 42t chainring. Even better, while the stock chainring is installed on the "outside" of the bolt-arms, you can install it on the "inside" so it sits 1-2mm closer to the frame to get your chainline right. A very small adjustment, but it is there.

Works but...Challenging
Using this to replace existing crank set I had to flip the chain ring to the inside to align with rear sprocket. It came apart OK but it was difficult to align the chain ring because this is not the most precision machined piece out there. I had to keep rotating the ring and flipping it to get five holes to align. I finally managed to get it together. Fortunately 27 years designing Navy submarines gave me the patience to figure this out. Also if you do flip the ring tighten the ring retainers after a couple of uses.

Great value and removable chainring, but threads strip easily.
Edit: Be careful with the threads. They are likely to strip quite easily. Now I can't get the non-driveside crankarm off - I've probably pulled a square taper crank off 10 times, and this is the first I've stripped.Original: If you are trying to set up an inexpensive "1x" bike, this is most likely what you're looking for. This is a great-value square taper crankset with a removable chainring. The bolts are not riveted, so you can remove the chainring with a metric hex key and thin spanner wrench (or adjustable wrench, your choice). Just be careful enough not to strip the nuts holding each bolt. I re-tightened to 6-7 Nm.I replaced its 1/8" ring with a 3/32" USAMade since 3/32 is standard for shifting drivetrains. If you're wanting to use this crankset as-is on a bike that shifts gears but don't want to change the ring (it's easy though), you must replace your 3/32" chain with a 1/8" chain instead.Other things: It's decently lightweight (cranks 495 g, chainring 242 g). The pedal holes feel tight at first, but as long as you're installing your 9/16" pedals straight on and with lube, you can avoid stripping threads. When installing onto the bottom bracket, I would lube under the bolt's head, washer, and threads (but not the taper), and also where the bottom of the bolt head makes contact with the center of the crank.

Pretty disapointed.
I had some high hopes for this crankset. I am working on an budget Fixie build and thought this was going to give me everything I needed. Unfortunately I could not get the non drive side pedal to thread in. I purchased Another crank set from the same retailer and had the threads on the drive side strip while trying to remove. (yes the removal tool was threaded all the way in.) currently waiting on a gear puller so I can uninstall this set. I'm nervous to install the new one, but will give a try...

Works Great and a Huge Upgrade on my El Cheapo Electric Bike
With the right tools, this is an easy install but you have to have the right tool to pull off your old crankset. I bough this more for the ability to change out sprockets as my cheapo bike had a fixed sprocket/crankset setup and it was perfect for that. My bike is now easier to pedal as I was able to put the right size sprocket on.

Great replacement crank arms. Sprocket can be bolted on either side of the carrier to get the correct offset.

Requires a very short bottom bracket
Nice looking, and it has no logos. But it requires a very short bottom bracket. Even with a 103mm bottom bracket and moving the ring to the inside of the spider, the chain line is poor on a bike with a 130mm OLD rear triangle. It might work with a modern 142 or 148 OLD bike.
