Fortunately these RSVP International GRY-5 or #WMCS Replacement Wire's fit my cheese slicer made of marble with a slot perfectly. It was easy to install and works very well for slicing. The quality is good and it's nice to have a spare in case down the road the one in the slicer gives up the ghost. I would order these again.

It does the job, but, I wish it was a bit shorter so there is a bit more tension on the wire. Perhaps my ancient marble slab cutter may need to be replaced before I use up the 4 spare I now have.

These are exact fit for my marble cheese slicer. Measure yours and make sure it is the size required in the text of this product description. When you install, be sure to tighten the handle as tightly as you can so it doesn't rotate on the metal U-shaped hinge arm and loosen the wire. Also, make sure the wire goes around the top of the circle "pully" so the wire is tightened as you press down on the handle. One adjustment I had to make was to slightly re-shape the U-shaped hinge arm so the wire was tight and the hinge didn't scrape the edge of the marble base. This was simple to do by pressing it against my kitchen sink. Don't overdo it; it will yield but make small adjustments. I was sure I could fix my slicer by "simply" getting some stainless wire, but that was more expensive than these replacements, and it would have required monkeying to make the loop ends.

The wires fit perfectly.

Edited to add: I've had one of these wires on my cheese board for three and a half months now, and I use it to slice cheddar cheese at least once a day. Today the first wire broke, which I think is not so bad. I installed a new wire pretty quickly this time.I hesitated to buy these wires because I didn't know if they'd fit my old cheese board. They did fit and I'm glad I took a chance. There are instructions how to install the wires on the back of the package they came in, but I couldn't figure out what the instructions meant, even though they were written in good English. I looked at other customers' instructions in the questions section here and I still could not understand. All this despite the fact that I've replaced the wire before, with the spare that originally came with my cheese board, using reason and common sense. I finally got it this time sort of by accident. I hadn't realized that in spite of the wire being at a 90 degree angle to the board, the wire turns 90 degrees when you just tighten the knob. I still don't quite know why, but I'm happily slicing cheese again for the first time in months.

Wrong size won’t fit my marble slicer

These wires were a great buy for the money. However, they were too short for my slicer. From the photo of the slicer shown with the wires, the slicer looked just loke the one I have. They were a little too short.
