Strong, beautiful stainless steel

This is VERY well made with respect to being robust. Like any metal duct, it has sharp edges you can cut yourself on if you aren't careful. I always cut myself at least once playing with ducting. If attaching to flex duct you want to look at your flex duct, the tabs may slice it. The tabs sliced mine, so I went over it with duct tape.Only two issues. First, they don't include screws. I always have plenty of screws but it could be annoying if you don't have screws. Second, it's type 304, fine for here in Colorado but I would paint it if I lived on the coast.

Works sand looks perfect. There are two holes punched out on the face of it for mounting. The manufacturer left the little tabs or pieces of metal attached which are concealed under the face and extremely sharp. I sliced my finger really deep on one of the hidden tabs, didn’t occur to me that they would be there. I can’t be the first to do this and an added second during manufacturing would have removed the sharp parts. Looks good but use caution installing

Just got this five minutes ago, and started saying "oh good!" "oh good!"5 stars right after unpacking it from me has never happened before.I really need a rat proof vent cover, and this is something the rats are not going to chew thru.It will fit or I will make it fit if needed (easy modification to the end of the vent). If you trim the lip that is folded over on the 5” vent, and then fold it back, it slides over a 4.5” vent perfectly. I used this for a horizontal 4.5” rigid vent for which I could not find any other termination.
