Comfortable to wear, attached easily
Great addition allowing you to convert a carry bag to a comfortable backpack. Attaches with Velcro at the top & D-Rings at the bottom. Easy to put on & take off, comfortable to wear

Great concept, unfortunately poor quality...
Love the concept (and still do). Problem is, if I didn't know how to sew, these backpack straps would have been useless to me in less than a week. I carried a 13lb thing two times; on the second time, the strap ripped as pictured. They're cheap enough, I probably should have known...buyer beware...and buy a few sets if you don't have a sewing machine handy.

Great idea, but watch the weight
I purchased this unit to help me move my food shopping items to an upper floor apartment. My biggest problems comes from the soda I purchase in 16 oz bottles as I usually get 4 x 6 packs. The 4 6 packs just fit into the Packbasket snugly and the unit makes it very easy to get the soda up the stairs. That is until the Backpack system failed and I almost lost it all on the way up. It seems one of the plastic slips on the system broke and the fabric tab the other plastic clip attaches to separated from the bag. I was a bit disappointed by this as the bag lists itself as being able to carry 30 lbs, but I noticed the strap system does not list a weight. the 4 six packs are about 26 lbs, so should be just under the limit for the system, but that did not seem to be the case.I still like the system as I have two of them. I now limit the the amount of soda to two six packs and some other lighter food. I did buy one of the Strap pads and that lets me use the second bag without a Backpack system and that can also hold two of the soda six packs. Between two of the bags at a time (on on back, second on shoulder) I can get my four sodas up the stairs OK.So overall I love the system of the bag and the shoulder straps, but do be careful about the weight you use in the bag when using it as part of the Backpack system. I would buy the product again and would suggest it to others as long as they are aware of the weight limits.

This is FABULOUS
This backpack strap easily and securely attaches to your ADK Packworks Packbasket (purchased separately). It has been an absolute lifesaver for me. The straps are well padded and comfortable, and the pad at the bottom of the basket keeps it from rubbing against your lower back. Since I have no car, I walk to various stores, using two walking sticks, so a backpack is essential to leave my hands free. A small zippered backpack proved to be not quite large enough, and awkward to fill. The Packbasket is awesome because it holds the same amount of groceries as a paper grocery bag, and because it's open at the top, it's easy to fill. In fact, I have gone to the post office with a package to mail, and simply turned around with my back to the clerk and asked him to remove the package, so I wouldn't have to take my backpack off. In a convenience store, I do the same thing and ask the clerk to put my purchase into the backpack. Nobody has a problem with that! It has turned out to be so much easier than wrestling off a zippered backpack, trying to pack it and zip it back up again, and then wrestling the backpack back on. Another neat thing is that when the Packbasket is empty and I get on the bus, I can lean back and the Packbasket folds itself up! I don't have to take it off to ride the bus. After trying several different backpacks and rolling shopping carts, this Packbasket with strap is THE best thing I have found for getting around town on foot or by bus and comfortably carrying my purchases. I suspect bicyclists would love it too.

As a Kyack Hauling Harness.
I walk with a Cain due to a Back injury and a bad Hip. I attach this to my Kyack so I can Pull it Much Much Easier!!!Eliminates Fighting the Weight of the Yak on 1 side allowing me to walk easier using my cain.My Favorite little Lake is roughly 100 yards from where I have to park. I couldn't do that haul without this Harness!!!Not exactly what it's made for, but it works Perfectly!!! ππ»

Strap ripped first time I used it.
Strap ripped first time I used it. I had to tie a knot in it and that seemed to work. Still not ideal.

Very good product. Some improvements could make it great.
Compared to the original straps that it came with, much much better. I think though by trying to make the Packbasket serve multiple configurations, it compromises the usefulness of each configuration a bit. At least for me, I know that I will use this as a backpack 100% of the time. I would love it if these upgraded straps came sewn on like a regular backpack. Less complicated, more secure, more comfortable, and hopefully adjustments to fit would stay where I set them.
