The Very Best Polish Remover for Regular, Glitter and Gel
I bought the Onyx soak off nail polish remover from Amazon during last September, which was almost a year ago. Within this time, I have had plenty of opportunity to try it on every single type of nail polish that I own. Now that I am almost at the end of this large bottle of nail polish remover, I am ready to offer my opinion. I love that this has a mild coconut scent and this prevents my eyes from watering, aside from holding my breath. I used to do the 'nail polish removal' portion in a restricted space such as the bathroom, due to the awful harsh smell of acetone polish removers. This now allows me the freedom to remain in our bedroom from start to finish, and without the acetone smell fouling up our room. The Onyx polish remover works fast and easy for all my regular nail polishes. In addition, it works effortlessly for taking off all the different types and brands of the nail glitter that I use. Furthermore, it does not dry out my nails the way an acetone polish remover will leave them dry and brittle. Removing gel polish is a little more time consuming, nonetheless I do receive excellent results. I use the Onyx polish remover on cotton balls and apply them to each nail, and then wrap each nail with aluminum foil, letting them soak for about 10 minutes. After which, a mild and light scraping removes most of the gel polish. I then re-wrap them and leave them for another 5 minutes, and this removes the remaining polish with a minimum of scraping around the cuticle and ends of my nail. The only time I experience dry nails are when I need to soak them in order to remove the gel polish. However, my fingernails are still in better and healthier condition than when applying an acetone polish remover. In the 50 years that I have polished my nails, this is by far the best nail polish remover that I have experienced. The Onyx polish remover has a pleasant and mild coconut scent, and I can remove my regular and glitter nail polish without any effort. In addition, the Onyx Soak Off nail polish remover works better and faster than the acetone remover that I used to depend on. Furthermore, my fingernails are in much better condition, and I am NOT experiencing the drying, brittle, and peeling nails that used to occur before. This is my own full-price purchase. All my reviews are on Full-Price purchases. None of my purchases receive any discounts, and I do NOT receive or accept any promotions or deals. However, Amazon's own automated system automatically deducts shipping charges from larger placed orders. This freight deduction is automatically available to all Amazon customers. Unfortunately, due to Amazon's miscoding system the automated free freight often negates the AVP (Amazon Verified Purchase) and therefore our full-price product reviews are not shown with the deserved and earned AVP. Currently, I have been FORCED to buy into the Prime Service in order to avoid this ongoing issue. Hopefully, Amazon will resolve this miscoding issue, because Prime is an expensive extra service that I do NOT need and I do NOT want.

Works EXCELLENTLY for Salon Gel Polish Nails!
I read the other review about using this product with Gel Polish removal and I have to say, my gel nail polish that I had professionally done came off flawlessly and with no issue. Here is what I do: I bought those little polish removal nail clips that clip over the ends of your nails (just search amazon for these). I put some of this remover on a pad and clipped it to my nails. I waited about 8 minutes and my gel just scraped right off with no damage to my nails. Gel polish removal can be tricky depending on the type you use or where you get them done. Each salon/product is different. Even at the salon sometimes when they soak the gel off, there can be a tiny bit left that they actually have to file off. I am happy to say that with this product, I can save time at the salon by taking my own gels off. Worked great for me! No issues! And smells a little like coconut too. It's a win-win! Buy this for any nail polish you need to remove, gels or not!

Miracle polish remover!! LOVE LOVE
I took and emptied out a bottle of cheap nail polish remover that had the 3 hole sponge in it, and poured some of this in so I could still use the sponge to help remove polish. It worked like a charm!! It took off 3 layers of sand/glitter nail polish much quicker than the stuff I buy at the drugstore. I don't get why it even says coconut scented b/c I don't think I've ever used a nail polish remover that didn't smell like...nail polish remover! But regardless of the smell, it's a great size bottle for a great price and works great! I will be using this from now on! ***Update*** I used this with cotton balls the other day, and I was able to remove 3 layers of glitter polish off 6 fingers before I had to get another cotton ball. This stuff is like miracle polish remover!!

Doesn't smell like coconut though...
I initially purchased this acetone because it advertised coconut fragrance. I am obsessed with everything coconut. I was disappointed with the smell... it smells like any other acetone and once in a while you get a slight hint of coconut smell. With that being said, it works great ... I do notice it has taken off my gel polish a little faster than others and it doesn't dry out my fingers as much. Still drying but any improvement is a plus in my book.

Works okay
Works okay but not as well as I'd like. I use it with cotton and tinfoil wrapped over my nails and after 15 minutes it softens my polish but doesn't really release it from my nails. I have to use a cuticle pusher to scrape the softened polish off. If I leave it on for 25 min or so it starts to lift the polish off but only around the edges of the nails. The only thing I can compare it to is the gelish brand remover which I think works a little better and doesn't dry out my nails and surrounding skin as bad as the ONYX. I found that both brands actually work better for me if I do not try filing off any of the polish before applying the remover.

THIS STUFF ROCKS!
Wow you guys ...I finally finished off my other bottle of a well know brand opened this one up, dipped a piece of cotton swab and proceeded to wipe away on my left fingers first..it wasn't gel polish is was just regular but the smell of coconut and how fast and smooth it removed the polish and left my nails shining. I am super impressed. I keep lifting each hand up to look at them I mean I was wearing a darker color it was rose or what some would call mauve and just a swipe barely even any rubbing and it was gone...gone gone gone...mmmmm and when I go to smell them it's coconut all the way ...at this point I highly recommend it. I do have some gel polish that was given to me as a gift and once I get that on I will be sure to come back and give you all the 411 but so far just for our regular stuff dang I am impressed...It's 2:11am here but I guess I want to go paint my nails with the gels and dryer I got for Xmas...I'll be back! ~Kiki
