I mounted mine under the cabinet and love the extra room I now have for my tea now that my spices are more organized. The under-the-cabinet installation was a little tricky because as man in my mid-50s, I don't bend like I used to, but it took me about an hour or so once I used a magnetic tip screwdriver.When filling the spices, I first just tried pouring them from the bottle into the large opening, which worked good enough. I think the next time I do it, though, I'll do what the other poster suggested and get a tin funnel with a 1/2" opening to avoid some of the little bit of mess.I saw that others wrote that they didn't feel it was sturdy enough or they couldn't fit the spices in the carousel...I didn't have any issues like this.I still have more spices that didn't fit into the 12-spice carousel, so I'm going to buy another one and stick them. Hope this helps someone.

There are several iterations of this attractive carousel spice rack, the earlier ones have dial similar to a clock face that dispenses approximately 1/4 tsp of contents, the newer ones, like this, have a "thumbwheel" mechanism. Either way, the carousel itself is sturdy, compact (takes less than 1 sq.ft. of counter space, or zero if you use the included under cabinet mount. Each container holds as much as or more than a typical "glass jar" of spices purchased in the market.Others have commented that their round measuring spoons won't fit the opening on the individual spice container. You probably can't fit a tablespoon measure in one of those glass jar spices, either. So while true about these carousel containers, there are excellent and heavy duty rectangular stainless steel measuring spoon sets for sale here on Amazon.com that work perfectly with these containers, for as litle as $9.99 with Prime Free Delivery.If you don't already have one, I also recommend purchasing a funnel with at least a 1/2" tip opening for use in filling the containers with your favorite spices.

This replaced a very old select-a-spice to expand my storage capacity and match my overall kitchen look. Overall this is well built and easy to use. My only complaint is very fine spices, like cinnamon and granulated onion, fall out the bottom and make a mess. I also wish the flip tops opened all the way, rather than at an angle, for easier filling. That being said, I would buy this again and would recommend it with my caveats.

It just sits there un touched unused , taking up counter space

This was easy enough to put together but is not good for on the counter at all. Pulling each section out is quite fumbly as you pull it from the bottom but there is no tab or divit to get ahold of. On multiple sections when I pulled one out the piece next to it would fall apart. When the piece fell apart, the entire front came off including the little clear window that shows you what spice is inside meaning the spice would spill everywhere. Sending it back. If it were just the issue with pulling them each out I would say mounting it under the counter would solve that but them falling apart is terrible

I love how these making finding the right spice so easy. As you can see from the before picture, we use a lot of spices. They are easy and stable stacking on top of each other. I know some reviews have talked about them leaking, I found that sometimes I don't snap the bottom enough after measuring and some will come out of the bottom. Out of the 3 I have, only 3 spice containers wouldn't sna, so I put spices in those that I wouldn't be using the bottom 1/4 tsp measure. We camp a lot and this will make spice transport easier and space saving too with the handle on top. Over all I am pretty pleased. I made my own labels instead of using the ones provided.

I was excited to get this. My husband installed it under the cabinet. Comes with labels already printed with spice names, except for Rosemary. The containers themselves are very flimsy, the window popped out of the one containing cinnamon, had cinnamon everywhere. Had to super glue the window in place. Does not work good for storing garlic powder and onion powder. Both have become hard as a rock. Evidently, both picked up moisture from the air, being that the containers do not have a tight seal. I do not have this installed near the sink either.

Simple to use, but yet ingenious. Turn the dial for 1/4 spoons of spice and tada! It's also stackable too.Only qualm is it should be made a bit sturdier.
