Motion detector sensors always fail closing the lids.
No happy at all with this trash can, 90% of the times I ended up closing the lids, the motion sensors work great opening the lids, but most of the time I got to close them my self or pressing the bottom, not worth the price at all.

Solid, has liners, and is sleek
Adequate space (8 gallons each) - many of these dual units have smaller capacity or are too short. I like the dual opening, and each compartment as a liner with handle. In the event a bag leaks, the liners are a lifesaver. Unless you plan on using a can in an office environment, with paper / dry trash only, a can with inner liner is a must. A leaky bag will not be noticed until you empty it, and at that point, the floor has been leaked upon. Many other dual cans do not have an inner liner and are not leakproof.Note, the first one arrived with dents on front and back that could not be pushed out or repaired, (shipping box was in perfect condition) Quick replacement by amazon and second unit was perfect.

Flimsy canister
Everything works well except my Labrador Retriever has put multiple dents in it.

Arrived with big dent
Box was in good condition but the can itself had a big dent in it. Photo show what was left after my husband pushed most of it back out.I like the can itself but was disappointed it arrived dented considering the price.

Good bins
We searched for a doble bin for a while and was glad to find this. The trash bags stay on! I only wish the sensors to open the lids were better, most times we end up touching the sensor to open the lid and when the batteries are running low, you can hear the bins kind of trying to open the lid - once we figured this out it’s been okay but it did throw me off the first time since it was the middle of the night and I kept hearing a strange sound in the kitchen!

Worked great for a year. Sensors have failed, it wont open. its garbage after a year. pun intended
Worked great for a year. Slowly stopped working right, now 1.5 years later and both sensors have failed and neither won't open, this is garbage after a year. There is no handle or easy way to open once the electronics fail. And yes, i replaced the batteries, over and over, it just won't open any more. I didn't realize I spent so much money on this until i just went back to see when i purchased. I doubt there is a warranty after a year. Was nice while it lasted, but its a lot of $$$ for one year for a trash can.

Not soft close
I just got it so I’m not sure about some of the ratings. What I do know is: 1, instructions would be nice. It’s actually pretty simple, but takes a little figuring out. Finding the place for the batteries is one thing, and the on/off switch is the other. I was trying to get the batteries in, and the lid kept on opening and closing. Like I said, simple, and once you find those two things, no problem. My biggest issue with it is that it is NOT soft close.

Thin plastic lids
It’s great, except how thin the plastic is for the lid. Makes it look and feel “cheap”, even though everything else is so sturdy.
