City 60011 Surfer Rescue Toy Building Set

This was an excellent purchase (in fact, I bought this twice). The first time, I bought it for my son to play with his sister while she's busy with her LEGO Friends beach themed sets.When it arrived, I discovered that the surfer is the male counterpart to the blonde female (wearing the same wetsuit) being dunked in the Fairground Mixer (set #10244). Since I also bought that set, it's good to know that our surfer can now "relieve" the poor woman from being dunked all the time...The second purchase was made as a cute, cheap add-on to the Coast Guard Patrol (set #60014). All the elements are fun and the build is satisfying. From stocking stuffer to party favor...This is a great little set.

So easy to assemble. Cute 'theme' for the kids to use their imaginative play skills. Excellent value with two figures, a shark and two sort of vehicles.Perfect for a 'reward' gift for your kid when he does his chores or gets a great report at parent/teacher conferences.

For under $5, your kid can spend a good 30 mins building and learning. Then, after it's made, s/he can pretend the shark is chasing the surfer, that the boat is dragging the surfer, that all 3 are having an ocean picnic together. It's just awesome.THis is easy for a 5 year old to build, compared to the complex sets that are 500+ pieces. I highly recommend for hours of fun! For under $5!

So the little brother had a birthday and received the big Lego Coast Guard Patrol set LEGO Coast Guard Patrol. The brothers like to play together, and nobody begrudges the child his presents, but big kids like to get a little toy, too. So this set was just the thing to rope an older brother into playing with the little guy. Fun set -- easy -- surfboard, shark!, 2 minifigs, and a little jet ski (does not float).Perfect.

We bought this for my 5 year old for one of his first lego sets. Its great! Not too many pieces for him to get frustrated with building and to foster the love for legos. He loved the shark included!

great product, legos are awesome, came with lots of extra pieces, blah blah but you should note this:i bought this as an individually shipped item, and it came to me all beaten up and the instructions manual was torn. basically, amazon thought it was a good idea to jam this lego box into what looked like a triangular prism, which crushed one side of the box. if you're a lego collector or buying this for someone else, BEWARE!!!!!! the box might end up looking pretty bad.

This is a really cute set - it's not a lot of pieces - so it's an easy build - but the jet ski is very cute as it has a life preserver, and, it has a moveable handle. Also, for the price, it's a great deal because you get two minifigures (a jetskier and a surfer) and the shark is absolutely adorable.

I bought this for my 6 yr old. Sometimes he gets frustrated with the legos geared toward 8 yr olds so I tried this one out to go with his other "water" legos. This was super easy for him to put together. He was done in just a few minutes. I think this would definitly work for a 5 yr old or even a more advanced 4 yr old. not many parts and the shark that comes with it is cute. He takes them in the bathtub with him.
