So far I've bought 2 sets of these, because they are slim like the wire hangers, but the velvet acts to make them like the thick plastic ones, keeping clothes from becoming misshapen or creased. Best of both worlds in the features department, yet looks better than either and kinda gives the closet an instant upgrade. Very good quality for the price.Update (05/29/2019): So, I've been using these for a year and a half now. They are all still in great shape, look and work like they did when I bought them. My 17 year old daughter has too many dang clothes hehe, so I'm ordering another set today, and thought I'd let everyone know that these are still working like a charm.I'm not a fake profile, nor have I been compensated for any reviews...in fact, the reason I take the time to review purchases when I can is due to the fact that I find other honest reviews helpful and am tired of all the fake reviews that have polluted this site. I cannot say enough about these hangers!!!!!! I didn't know what I was missing until I purchased these during a "Daily Deal"......They are extremely sturdy and save SO MUCH SPACE in my closet! I have to buy more clothes to fill the wonderful void these hangers have left! The fact that they have a hook, which allows you to hang several layers of clothes in one spot is probably my most FAVORITE feature of these hangers!!! Just kidding, it's the fact that your clothes WILL NOT SLIP OFF THESE HANGERS that makes me love them so much. You can put your most silky, slinky, slippery blouse on this hanger and it won't budge. I'm definitely buying more I don't even care that they are not on sale anymore because these are awesome and the regular price is still a great deal.

I purchased two different brands of velvet hanger at the same time. The OTHER brand broke straight out of the package. The difference between those cheap (and identically priced) hangers and the Ieoke brand was so easy to feel. I learned to handle them from the thicker part, and I haven't broken any of these.I was freaked when I read the reviews about washing them because I bought 250 hangers originally. I took heed to the advise and washed all but 50, but nothing came off. I use the remaining ones straight from the box with no issues. I replaced every hanger in my home and have hung everything from camisoles to heavy (long) winter coats. My closets look organized and neat and I'm happy that I invested in the replacement project. Great hanger!

I would have given them 5 stars but 4 of the hangers in the bottom of the box were broken, or defective, they were all broken in the exact same spot so I assume it was a packaging or quality control issue. Either way, they were the last 4 and I had used the rest hanging up clothes already so I wasn't going to take them all down and pack them up and send them back. I didn't try flexing them all over especially after finding the last four but they were great for my blouses and held my jackets.

I have ordered these hangers 3 times now. The last order the wrong type, size hangers were sent, but was too late to return, as I opened box 90 days later... that was disappointing. I am only giving 4 stars, as I don’t know about durability or value for $, as only used short time. I can say I am redoing my husband’s and my closet and only using these hangers. They take up less room and keep garments on hanger. So far, I am very pleased.

I ordered 150 hangers. They came in a large Amazon box, with the three smaller boxes inside. The packaging was very sturdy. Upon opening the plastic and removing a few hangers to test any transfer from the velvet, it didn't seem to transfer at all. After staging all of my hangers I realized the black velvet was in the air and on the surfaces of the area I was working in. I placed them all in the tub to rinsed, and let them dry for a day. After that there was no transfer. I saved a ton of space in my closet and now my fiancé wants my hangers! They are very sturdy and held my jackets and peacoat just fine.

I ordered 500 of these hangers. Yes, you read that right, 500 as in five hundred. I did not notice or read anywhere in most of the reviews that these hangers must be washed prior to using. I received 250 of my hangers last night and I had my husband unbox them all for me. I swapped out 2580 items from mine and my husbands closet and then when my husband and I were going to take the trash out I noticed on the box it says to wash the hangers before use... I then looked online again and read reviews where they stain peopled clothes and shed everywhere if you don't wash them first. So I started unhanging everything and switching back to my old plastic hangers. We started washing some of the hangers in the bathtub but then realized this would take way too long to wash 500 hangers. It says to run each one under cold water for 30 seconds. You then have to dry them and a bunch of black fuzz comes off onto the towel. I boxed them all back up and am returning them, as well as cancelling the shipment of the remaining 250 I ordered. These hangers did seem very good quality, very sturdy, and I like that the hook swiveled around. They definitely were saving me space, and are a really good deal! However, I just cannot justify washing every single hanger, then waiting for them to dry before using. Not to mention.. Where would I hand 500 hangers to dry after washing? I would have loved to keep these, but sadly they are going back.

They are 0.24" thick, thicker than the regular and cheaper ones (0.18" thick) so seem more durable. The hook can be a good or a bad thing: great if you want to hook multiple hangers together but tend to cause the hangers to get attached if you hang them too closely. I don't use this hook so it's a "bad" thing to me, so I minus 1 star. They do look nice and make my closet much more organized.
