Excellent Customer Service to Solve Compatibility Issue
I bought this toner in October, but didn't need to install it into my HP M281 cdf until March. I was unaware at that time that in November HP had installed a firmware update that prevented the printer from working with non-HP toner cartridges. Well, the HP toner is about 4 times more expensive than this one! So I contacted the seller to see if they had a solution. They responded VERY quickly and gave me multiple options to solve the problem. 1) Revert to an older version of the firmware, 2) put the chips from my old HP cartridges into the new cartridges, or 3) they could send me new chips. They attached instructions on how to do these things to their response. Well HP has gotten wise and deleted the old version of the firmware from their website. I managed to find it as a link on a YouTube video, reverted to the old firmware version, and made sure the printer was set to NOT auto-update the firmware anymore. That solved the problem. It is printing perfectly now. I am guessing the seller has updated the chip in the new cartridges so this won't be an issue anymore. But I was very impressed by how quickly and helpfully they responded to me. That means a lot! I will definitely buy from them again.

Great HP ink replacement cartridge.
I didn't want to spend 3 times as much to get the HP branded toner so I took a chance on these. I don't see any difference in the quality so far. I've printed a few hundred b&w pages and a couple of dozen in color and the quality appears to be equal to that of the HP cartridges. As far as longevity, I guess time will tell. I did find that HP pushed out a firmware update to their wireless printers to exclude any toner cartridges other than theirs. Luckily, or not I guess, several people have had this issue and posted numerous work arounds to getting your printer back to a previous firmware version and allowing outside vendor cartridges to work again. Just don't allow your printer or computer to do any HP updates and you should be good. They continue to work on ways to shut out other vendors products on theirs.

Missing Chip Connetion Board
Make sure you are getting what you buy. I ordered this in July 2021 during a prime deal even though I did not need it at the time. Today I needed to change out my cartridges and I kept getting a chip error message. After much stress in trying to figure out why I cannot print and why this message was appearing I went back and looked at the toner cartridges that I removed and compared it to the "new" ones I just installed and then saw that the "chip" was not there! There is no connection from the toner cartridge and the printers computer. There appears to be a "chip" but there is no connecting board. And since I purchased this several months ago the return window is closed and I am now out the money paid for these toner cartridges. Lesson: Always open your packages and inspect the product even if you don't need it at the moment. Do not trust the seller even if you have bought good product from them in the past. Lesson learned. Ugh.

Hit or Miss / Messy
These work until about 50% through use or less, then the cartridge toner starts bleeding out into your printer and/or on the paper margins rendering a quality print job unusable. It is not clear the substantially lower cost to a a genuine HP cartridge is worth the cost based on the poor quality print job and the toner always needs replacing well before 100% toner use; like around 70% to 80%. I won't ever buy genuine HP toner because the cost for quality is also an issue. So, I'll probably stick with these more affordable toner brands even with its significant issues.

Quality Cartridges and Excellent Service
I have purchased these cartridges a few times as a much more affordable alternative to "genuine" brand name cartridges and, honestly can't tell a difference. Several months ago I had these cartridges installed and suddenly my printer wouldn't accept them so I assumed it was a defect. I contacted the seller and they explained that my printer was updated and it would no longer accept generic cartridges and then gave me detailed instructions how to re-set my printer and make sure it doesn't happen again. This order they even sent extra chips in case they weren't compatible. I will be a long time customer with service like this.

Short shelf life?
Installed and fit perfectly. Good quality at the beginning. Over the course of several months, the color faded although cartridges were half full. Tried to install one cartridge that had remained sealed 3.5 years later and it was not functioning properly at all. Not sure on expected shelf life but I recommend that if you do not use color often that you run a demo page once a week at least and run the HP cleaning cycle as well.

Works but beware printer firmware updates! (LaserJet Pro MFP M281fdw)
Updated review. I purchased these before I needed them to have on hand when my existing toner cartridges ran out. It turned out to be about a year earlier than needed! When I did install them, they worked for a couple of days and then the printer stopped working with an error that these are not authorized for use (see picture). The company responded quickly to me and explained that the printer's firmware updates checks for recent chips on the cartridge and mine were slightly too old to be recognized. They provided a way for me to downgrade to the earlier printer firmware and the cartridges now work fine again. They also assured me their chips are always up to date, and my issue was simply a function of how long I had them before using them. So, A+ for customer support and a full explanation. I don't like the whole issue with the chips, but I understand it's an HP issue instead of the manufacturer of these toner cartridges. I will buy these again since the quality is good, but order them only when actually needed so I don't run into the same problem again! And I've shut off automatic firmware updates on the printer.

HP laserjet M281FDW Printer purchased in dubai and operating in Melbourne. The toners didn’t work straight away showing “incompatible supplies”. Found out that HP has regional locking! And this toner is for US market. flashed a US firmware 2020.06 (Reddit) and did a factory reset (YouTube); only then it worked!!
