De'Longhi Nespresso Vertuo Plus Coffee and Espresso Maker by De'Longhi, Titan

After my old Vertuo Plus did not work properly anymore, I replaced with a new one - exactly the same model. I love Nespresso’s convenience and the very tasteful coffees. The machine is a little loud. Nevertheless, even larger cup of coffees are hot. If you like good and strong coffees it is a good choice. Remember, aluminum capsules can be recycled - free return bags!

Absolutely love this espresso + coffee maker. I’m not as knowledgeable in espresso machines like others, but this suits my needs when I don’t want a full pot to brew, or when I want a simple latte. The pods can get pricey, but I knew that before making this purchase. The design is sleek and I love the color.

Absolutely love it. The capsules are coded so that the machine knows what kind of coffee to make - espresso, specialty coffees, etc. And the aluminum pods are completely recyclable. No more plastic mountains of K-cups.

After owning this machine for 3 months, the light on the machine turned red/green. I researched this and found it is a descaling warning, that the system needs to run a descaling cycle soon or it will stop making coffee. I bought the official Nespresso descaler mix because I found they use a specific acid, and third party descalers may have higher acidity and damage the seals in the machine. After running the descaling mode, the light was still on. I saw many people have this problem and the solution was to run the cycle again, and then run a rinse cycle, and make sure you exit the descaling mode before the machine goes to sleep to clear it. It didn't work. I tried another descaling with the other packet I had, and then ran another rinse cycle. It didn't work. Calling Nespresso support, they told me to run another descaling cycle. I told them I've already run two and if it needs more than 2 packets every 3 months, I'm not interested in continuing to use this product. They said there was no way to get it out of descaling mode and I'd just need to keep running the descaling cycle until it turns off. I'm outside of my return window, so I'll be throwing the machine away and getting a different machine.

The first machine started to develop a mild leak after six years of daily use. Repairs would have been almost as expensive as a new one. So I ordered an identical one and am very happy with it. It works well, the coffee is mostly good to excellent. The biggest drawback are the relatively expensive capsules. And don't compare it to the Keurig stuff. There's no compare, infinitely better.

I previously owned the Vertuo Next and the lid was so difficult. The new Vertuo Plus I just received is so simple, and the water dispenser is larger. The coffee is much hotter. I am so happy!!

Gave this machine as a gift to a discriminating coffee drinker. . Recipient seems happy with it, used the included coffee samples ans said that coffee was very good.

Do NOT buy this machine.... after a few mere months, the brew head is leaking all over and Nespresso's customer service is totally lousy... I spent an hour with the technical specialist to run all kinds of tests - to no avail, end result = defective. Ok, fine, under warranty... I was promised a box delivered to my house within 24 hours for me to bring the machine to Canada Posts. 2 days later, no box.... callied back: getting the round around and told to call back later as they are too busy. They 'cannot' return call, and they 'cannot' leave a message to whoever is responsible to mail said box... It's a defective machine, under warranty....this is my 2nd and LAST Nespresso machines. The other one barely lasted 2 years. Do know that if you buy via Amazon - you are stuck to deal with Nespresso, you cannot return it to Amazon.

I got one cup of coffee out of this machine before it started to leak. Sent it back. Very disappointing. I’ll have to stay with my Kurig machine.
