Used on Waterway Tiny Might pump
With a bunch of searching for a replacement capacitor for a Waterway Tiny Might Spa circulation pump I decided to give this a try. Waterway was useless. No parts sold. “We only make the pump not the motor.” Just wanted me to spend another $300 on a new one. So I chanced these. Instead of spade terminals the original had these have two wire leads. I just cut the motor terminals as I didn’t have any that size on hand. Just used a wire crimp to splice the wires together. Works perfectly! It is actually smaller than the original NGM so no problem on the fit. If your pump stops running and the impeller spins freely this may be your answer. With power on the motor hand spin the impeller. If the pump starts running then this is probably what will fix it so it will start on its own. My other symptom that made me think capacitor was the plastic capacitor case was a bit deformed like an 1cm bump like a cyst. Good luck. I am thrilled this cured my pump motor issue. Plus I have a spare!

Fixed Motor Issue
A fan motor on my father's furnace stopped working. Replaced non-functioning capacitor with one of these. Fixed motor starting issue. Saved hundreds in cost with a simple fix rather than replace the whole motor. Also protected the environment by saving waste.

Save yourself money -- replace the part, not the fan.
Saved a space fan from obsolescence. Worked great and fit inside the original housing even though it was a better capcitor than the one it replaced. Kept a 2nd just in case my other fan has starting problems. Saved me $90. Thanks!

Degraded over time
Used this to reduce the speed of a 10w ceiling fan. The initial capacitance measured a little over 6uF and worked well. Unfortunately after 6 months of use (less than 1 hour per day) I noticed the fan speed had decreased significantly. When I checked the capacitor measured only 4 uF.

Works well.
Exactly as described. Used one to repair a Lasko box fan.
