great fishing line for top/surface float fishing i used it to make my own rigs and it works perfectly, its just a shame i cant find a 500 meter of i so i can use it on my spool instead of constantly greasing up my normal line to make it float.

I recently came back into the world of carp fishing after a few years break from the sport while I was doing my A-levels and spending my first year at university so, decided to pick up this book to try and catch up on all the developments in fishing since I left the sport. Far from an expert big fish angler or a novice I thought I was a experienced angler. When I left the sport Korda was at the for front of carp products, and they'd released the first 4 Underwater Carp fishing DVDs, which I'd also REALLY recommend! (They'll change your fishing forever!) The book really is great I really couldn't recommend it more highly. It covers alot of areas in carp fishing, in such a good format, with text being broken up with pictures and step by step diagrams for example when showing how to tie rigs it really is easy to understand and digest what can be in some cases complex information. Due to this format it's great to dip into and out of if you want to brush up on something you might have forgotten about. I really have learnt a great deal from this book, from some of the simplest things imaginal to boost bait flavor to some high tech rig ideas such as the KD and Muzza. These tactics and rigs do really work, I've used and adapted some of them to great effect and have caught some decent sized carp with them! Although I've championed the pro's of this book there is one or two things it can be faulted on. Firstly there isn't a section on river carping, a growing side of the sport now and, some of the knot options wern't displayed such as the half blood knot. However, I suppose theres only so much you can fit in one book. I noticed that someone had mentioned that there is alot of Korda product placement in the book, no insult intended here but the book is a Korda product, it says on the front! Additionally Ali is sponsored by Korda so of course he'll use these products and others such as Shimano and Mainline bait as he probably gets them for free or next to nothing! I would say though that if these items wern't good, they wouldn't sell in the shed loads they do and anglers wouldn't risk their reputations recommending these products if they were rubbish! Also I'd agree with other reviews that this book doesn't only offer great tactics for carp fishing. If you scale rigs down shown in the book, and use lighter hooklengths and smaller hooks you'll catch some great specimen fish and I can vouch for this from fist hand experience catching some decent bream and chub. To cut a long story short, (so you don't have to read the whole review) this book is great for any carp angler or any specimen angler at all really, no matter how experienced you are I'm sure you'll learn something and it will put you an extra fish or two on the bank! Ali if you ever read this can I say a huge thank you! Without your knowledge and help from this book I doubt I would have caught half the fish I have this summer, you've really got me hooked (no pun intended) back into the sport!

Good strong line. I do lots of surface fishing and caught lots of carp. Noticed more takes while using this line.

Fantastic book. Couldn't put down! So, so, much better than '50 shades of grey' and much better written with excellent illustrations. Only one slight criticism - setting copy over some of the photographic images made it difficult to read the copy, especially if the print and/or colour register was out and the point size over pics could be made bigger to be more legible. But what a fantastic book with so many tips! Brilliant!

Can't fault this product. Floats really well and doesn't kink. Noticed an increase in takes since using this. Would recommend.
