Whole Earth Farms Grain Free Whitefish & Tuna Recipe Dry Cat Food, 10 lb (86086)

We have two cats one larger heavy set one just a year old and very petite. They both love the food and the Salmon flavor! I wish it came in a larger bag. We have had no issues with this food with either cat. Our vet says both of our cats are very healthy and doing fine! We do supplement the dry with one can of wet they share their food and both get alongside eating together. One thing with dry food is that more water is needed to keep cats hydrated. But with all in all dental health as well dry food is helpful and for now we are sticking to this brand and the salmon flavor!

I’ve been feeding this to my cats and foster kittens for years! It’s hard to find a high quality; grain free, and (importantly) affordable dry cat food. This one fits that bill for sure! I’m slightly allergic to cats and have found that feeding this has reduced their shedding significantly. One of my cats has a sensitive stomach and (of course) refuses to eat sensitive stomach food, she loves this one. I can not recommend this food enough!

My little girl loves this food! the kibbles are small and easy for kittens to eat, which is great. she was a bit apprehensive of the new food at first, but after hand feeding her a few and showing her it was food for her, she went right to it! it was very easy to switch her to this bag of food. despite previous reviews saying that the food stinks, i think it has a better smell to it, comparing to the purina kitten chow she was eating previously. Theres also a lot less odor in the litter box with this food! with kitten chow, the litterbox smell was awful....very smelly! Whole earth farms seems to be a great buy, and if my little girl is happy, so am i. Ill for sure be a repeat buyer of this pet food!

Both of my cats get wet and dry food. I switched to this food from Nature's Variety Instinct because my tom cat didn't like that one very much (had to add the freeze-dried raw toppers just to get him to eat it). Anyway, he loves this food! No issues getting him to eat it. He's very active so it's hard to tell if this fills him up. He's always acting hungry. I think my female cat preferred the other food more. She has Cerebellar Hypoplasia (aka: wobbly cat syndrome) and if she gets an upset stomach her litterbox situation could be disasterous because she falls over. Anyway, this didn't give either cat stomach issues and the pieces are small enough for my wobbler to effectively capture in her mouth. I still add the toppers and she seems to be interested more in this food only when those are added. I'll keep using it for now because it's good quality and cheaper than the other. My cat ate Purina dry food for many years. My 12-year cat preferred it. But we found that she was itching about two months ago. That got worse. It looked like she was getting fleas. But with a collar that it didn't do much. I also noticed that she lost some weight. She started vomiting about once a day or so. I also noticed that Purina changed the bag color. Of course, commercial cat foods typically say, "New Flavor" so that means the product got cheaper somehow. Purina had also dropped their prices at WalMart almost 40% less. I thought that was fishy (not meant to be a pun intended.) My cat was then itching so bad that she was spending at least 18 hours a day. I remembered that I read about corn causing cats caused brain tumors, skin abrasion, liver damages, and dying from corn molds. So I decided to try a new all-natural dry food. So I also didn't want any corn or grains. Since when does any cat eat corn anyway? Corn is just a cheap filler. It's worthless. I researched a lot and decided to see if she would try a new dry food. So I ordered a 10-pound bag of Salmon "Whole Earth Farms Grain Free Recipe Dry for Cats." As usual, cats don't like to change brands. They're always fussy. So she sniffed it the first day. hen she started eating it. I noticed that she didn't eat a lot. But she did eat it regularly. The first day, she didn't vomiting anymore. Within in a week her skin itching stopped. Then she started sleeping about a whole day sometimes. She start gaining back her weight. Her litter wasn't being used as often either. So, she is greatly improved, her hair is thicker, she's no longer miserable, she was begging me to scratch her often and now it has stopped completely. I got her second 10-pound bag yesterday so I'm going to stick with "Whole Earth Farms Grain Free Recipe Dry for Cat" because it's apparently excellent and my cat thinks so too!

Update 12/31/18: One of my cats was continuously licking her stomach while I was feeding them the salmon version. Switched to the chicken flavor and her hair is growing back! I also had to switch one cat off this food as she was diagnosed with IBD - however, I am sure this had nothing to do with the food! Plus, she is constantly trying to eat this food still :) Original review: If your cats have digestive issues, using the litter box is a stinky affair, or their fur looks dull, you've come to the right place! My 3 cats, ages 2, 3, and 4, have been switched over from Meow Mix to this as the 2 year old cat was chewing/grooming all her fur off her stomach. Since switching to this food, her overgrooming has stopped, their fur looks shiny, and I'm not constantly getting whiffs of their trips to the litter box anymore! Their droppings are solid and way easier to scoop, too :) my cats get 2.25 cups each day (and will occasionally have some roll over so one day I only need to give them 1.5 cups) and the 10 lb bags last me right around 2 weeks. I don't mind spending $50 on cat food every month knowing that my cats look so much healthier, have more energy, and don't constantly act hungry. Definitely give this food a shot if you're looking to make the switch to grain-free!

When I opened the 5 lb bag, she went bananas. I could smell the salmon right away. This brand fills up Velcro better than Crave Cat Food. Now I am staying with Whole Earth Farms for Velcro. This time I purchased the 10 pounds so she will be set for a few months.

All five of my cats hastily devoured the Salmon version. I like it because it smells like healthy cat food (unlike grocery store brands). It's definitely something I'll buy again.
