I'm Pleased So Far
I've had this laptop almost a month now. Have not used it extensively, it was bought to replace a much larger, heavier Lenovo with a 5400 RPM. Too slooooooooooow, so off to the grandkid it goes...I figured out that for doing database work, the hard drive is really, really important. Saw this one with the 500GB SSD and knew it was what I wanted. Although the upgrade to 16GB or RAM was tempting, I felt like 8 would be fine since I'm not gaming and so on. I already have a half dozen devices with my fingerprint smudges on them so the touch screen was not necessary and I felt it was a good trade-off to not have that in favor of memory and SSD. I also have not played with the camera, I usually try and keep all that stuff turned off since I don't need to use it.It's pretty snappy. Battery life is phenomenal, haven't really had to worry yet about running out of power, only charging it very infrequently. The display is crisp and bright. Some complained about the keyboard, no issues for me yet. The Delete key by the power button is also a non-issue for me. The Harmon Kardon sound system is plenty loud enough and I'm hearing impaired, so no demerits there either. It was kind of at the top end of what I wanted to spend, but I am happy with my purchase. Incredibly lightweight, it's be much easier to travel with than that 16" Lenovo. Very early still, especially since it's not my main computer, but likin' it so far. The TomToc carrying case is a nice if you're into accessorizing. And Amazon was, as usual, spot on with Next Day delivery.UPDATE - I forgot to mention the fingerprint reader and the micro SD Card reader. Those are two features that I've ended up using a lot and appreciate having them available at this price point. I think this is a very solid notebook/laptop. The battery life is really very good, hours and hours between charges.

Simply elegant; fast, light and quiet. Works just as represented.
Very nice; elegant. UX331FA. This is not a touch screen device. It is a notebook pc. Very happy with this so far (1 month). Light and slender form factor; lighter than hubbie's surface pro. Fast, very quiet, everything works as stated. Beautiful display. Works very well with Zoom, etc. It's a windows 10 OS, so we cope with all that implies according to user skill set - bloatware and so forth. I have a mouse habit; so the trackpad doesn't affect my use. It clicks just slightly, if that tells you anything; plain and simple, no number pad, etc. I find the speakers to be adequate. Has face & finger security. I would recommend it.

Well built, 13.2 inch screen laptop
It replaced my 12 inch Toshiba laptop which had an older generation Intel i7 cpu which ran hot and would lock up, unless it was on the power cord. This Asus is the same size, weighs a bit less, has a similar bright HD screen and runs fine on battery. I have not run the Asus down to >20% but I think it would last more than 7 hours of browsing on Chrome. The 8th gen i5 is at least as fast as the older i7 and the Windows 10 boot time of my new Asus is a fast 22 seconds. After you open the box and start the new Asus, expect a while to sign in to your MS account and get MS Win 10 updates. When all the updates stop and the final reboot is done, be sure to set a restore point via the control panel. That way any tweaking or driver updating you may do later that freezes the laptop can be fixed on a reboot and f9 tto get to the restore screen. I like to set a restore point after any major Win 10 feature update that MS shoves at you.

Very nice laptop overall
I've had this laptop for a couple months now. Overall, it is a great computer, I love it. The only thing I might dislike is the touch pad. It glitches once and a while and it can be frustrating. When I say glitches, I mean that the cursor lags and jumps when I am trying to move it, sometimes leading it to click on things I didn't want to click on. Although this is the case, I can deal with it because everything else is excellent. I love the touch/fingerprint sensor to unlock the computer. It is also very thin, lightweight, and so fast!

Easiest transition
My old Asus Zenbook developed a motherboard problem, and Amazon had a great price on this one. It was the easiest transition I've ever made from one computer to another. The data ported over easily. The size and weight are comparable, and all the keyboard keys are in the right places. This one has a fan and my old one didn't, but I don't hear it most of the time, and the processor is definitely much faster. The fingerprint sensor is an absolute pleasure. The sound is better than on my old one but still a little on the soft side. I'm having some mild issues on the touchpad, but that might just be because I haven't fully configured it yet. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with the purchase.Update: Yes, it was my configuration on the touchpad -- totally happy with it now.

Good basic computer
I picked this up for my sons birthday to replace his Lenovo that crapped out on him. Its a very good computer for light to moderate tasks. The processor is snappy and it has enough memory to get you buy. It runs neck and neck with my wife's MacBook Air. The build quality is surprisingly solid for the price we paid. It just feels like a quality product when you hold it. The keyboard travel is very good as well. It's a pleasure to type on it. Screen resolution is nice and crisp too. Battery life is a little short and the camera isn't great, but they're passable. I'd recommend this for someone wanting a school computer that can handle light gaming as well. Overall we're happy with the purchase, or at least my son is.
