Good anchor
I used this anchor for 1 season of kayaking and tried to beat it up but it performed well. Rope is of great quality (just remember to leave it out to dry after use). Carry bag is a bit underwhelming as far as durability but it works (I upgraded to a heavy duty mesh bag that allows the anchor/rope to dry after use). Anchor was able to hold my kayak in place on a windy lake and I tried it with my canoe too(worked good)but might but a little undersized for that one if the winds kick up too much. Follow the directions on securing rope to the anchor and it should work out well for your kayak.

Perfect for securing our paddle boards!
Perfect for securing our paddle boards mid river! This was the ideal solution, size, and price for anchoring our two paddle boards mid river on the Shenandoah River in Virginia. It’s easy to use, not heavy to carry to the shore before embarking, and the orange road and bouy are make it easy for others to spot.

It's okay. Not the greatest in rivers.
This anchor is okay and works. It's nice that it can fold up into a compact size, which is really preferable in a kayak where you're trying to save space. The problem I've found is that it doesn't hold particularly well in current. The little ring that is supposed to lock the teeth in the outward position isn't down far enough which causes the teeth to fold in and not bite. And with how light this anchor is a certain amount of current or wind, 3 and 1/2 lb of weight alone is just not going to hold you. Lakes in calm lakes and ponds. I don't think this would be as much of an issue. Overall, I think it's a good anchor for the price, but if you fish a lot of creeks and rivers you might want to look elsewhere because I occasionally have issues where this thing just doesn't hold me or I have to fight to get it to bite.

Must have!!!
I love to layout on my board at the lake. The anchor is perfect size to keep you stationary. Rope is the right length for the lake I go to. Works great and easy to carry

Perfect for One-Man Kayak
The anchor is the perfect size for a basic one-man kayak. I used it with my Tamarack Angler, and the design of it was spot on for what I needed. The instructions for utilizing the anti-stuck feature is straight forward and actually works. I would strongly recommend this anchor for anyone that needs a basic anchor for their kayak/small watercraft needs

Small kayak and canoe anchor
Kayak anchor and rope setup. It was very successful, I was in a very weedy lake and I was nervous about the anchor becoming stuck in the weeds and stumps, but to my surprise it held my kayak steady and was pulled up from the lake bottom with ease.

Would I buy it again? Absolutely!!
The most important question: would I buy this anchor again? Absolutely!! We have a paddle board and two inner tubes that we float on when camping and this thing works great!! Anchor grabs whatever at the lake bottom, rope floats, and styrofoam float lets others know you’re anchored. The rope tends to get tangled and knotted, but that more of an “operator error” than the product. We love it.

Would buy again
I like the concept of this design. It’s sturdy and convenient when all folded up.

Definitely one of our favourite summer purchases. We used this to float the river this year. Once the river got to low/ slow, this made it nice because we would find a deep spot and stay out for hours enjoying the river. Can’t wait until next year

Great little anchor for the kayak. Holds well even in a light wind

This anchor has been brilliant. My kayak is just shy of 4m long and I've not dragged the anchor once, even in some pretty strong breeze and current. Make sure to use the zip tie trick in case it gets caught on a rock, I've had to employ this twice and it's allowed me to keep this great little anchor. The rope is strong and just the right thickness. Very happy with it.
