Embrace the grid lines
This kit has a better parts fit than any of the AMT kits of the TOS Enterprise.Very resistant to Nacelle-droop.Any quibble a builder might have about the grid lines is easily made up for by the low-frustration building experience.Time to actually have fun building an Enterprise again!

Had this model in my youth, this looked a good choice.
I must say I did not build it yet, but looking forward to it. Upon examination, everything is there. This set is quite superior to the old AMT model set. So I'm getting ready to retire soon and loaded up on spaceship and flying saucer models (just did cars back then) but cars don't fly. So if I get mad at my loss of experience, it will fly right into the garbage. That said, it's a beautiful kit.

More of what I'd expect of a ship right before refit.
Though I would like to see a lower price point on this kit (around 38$), it IS excellent from what I can tell. I have not started assembling it as it's in prep for it.But some dry-fitting suggests that seams will be tight and flush. She does have full panel lines that most would rightly consider as non-canon. But this seems more correct to me as a ship IS generally built section by section. And it does make sense that these seams would eventually show up as a ship ages. So I see this as a depiction of the Enterprise possibly sometime just before refit.Quality is very high on this kit and is quit ready for lighting.Totally blows the old AMT kit outta the water....er, uh, space! If you love Trek and especially the connie (constitution class starship), then this grey lady is a must buy.

Haven't assembled yet.
Looks to be a good build. Plenty of clear parts and windows and such already cut. Good model for lighting. Looking forward to building.

Lacking in accuracy.
I will be able to use what was received as a base, but it will take a lot of work to be accurate. The ship in the original series did not have such a defined grid of plates comprising the saucer section, it was much smoother in appearance. If you fast forward to the movies, the refit and the NCC- 1701A do have a more defined grid appearance. This will require some filling and sanding to make it look like the ship from TOS.

Priced too high at 75.00-- gouging!
Good kit. Close to canon. Price hike from $35-40 pretty bad.
