This press works great for punching stitching holes in leather. I am using a 1.5mm hole punch on about 5oz veg tanned leather. Once I got the stroke distance adjusted and the air pressure adjusted it worked like a champ. The punch activates using the foot pedal only. For safety reasons, adjusting the stroke distance so a finger can't get between the work piece and the die is paramount, unless you want a hand injury. It also aids in know where the punch or die will strike the work piece to have the settings as close as possible. Adjusting the air pressure allows the die to only penetrate through the work piece and not go to deep into the cutting board. The only drawback is the leather not releasing from the die on the up stroke, so you manually have to force the work piece off the die, but that is not uncommon with hand tools either to have to pull the punch out of the leather. This punch takes so much less time then by hand, but hey that is what automation does. I added a magnetic work light to the machine that also helps see the work piece better.

Parts missing!

Used to set splined pins in plastic pieces. Much quieter than I expected. Easy quick set up, just 2 bolts to attach the filter system. Seems like it's very well built for the price, solid and no air leaks.The only thing that didn't work for me was the air input. It comes with the push in style like air brakes on a truck. It was easy to switch to a standard coupler the same as my other tools and just $15 at the parts store.I'll try to update after a few months of use and see how it holds up.

Have no current use for it.

Press itself is good value but the wiring is poor quality. It works but there are no strain reliefs and wires are poorly protected. OK for personal use perhaps but not use by others as a problem could cause a shock hazard as whilst press has a grounding type plug, the ground is NOT connected. I rewired mine to make it safe.

Fantastic press for the price. Packaging wasn't ideal, one came with some damage, but they sorted out a replacement. The thing actually works pretty well.

For the price you get a lot of press. The single tube/bar riser at the rear is just not beefy enough. It is fine for small press loads but when the loads get up higher you can see flex and move where it enters the cast base. It will probably work fine for my requirements.

I've been using this pretty heavily for 6 months without a hitch.
