These were great, I heated mine up just a bit and enjoyed every bite

These taste good. We use them in Thanksgiving stuffing so the slightly brownish color doesn't matter. Fresh ones are more yellow in color, but they are also a lot of work. Will re-order them again.

I like they are a little bit sweet and not packed in any goop.

Arrived on time before Thanksgiving by Prime. Quick delivery. They were vacuum packed. The chestnuts are very small though. I bought a jar of Clement Faugier whole chestnuts just in case. We'll see how they compare. I thought I would return these Spanish chestnuts, but apparently, food is not returnable. so, I decided to use them for my Thanksgiving dressing.This was vacuumed packed, and some of them crumbled while attempting to take them out. The taste was okay but a little dry. I wouldn't buy them again.

This item is not edible, when I opened the sealed bag the chestnuts seam to have some type of worms, I'm really disappointed and disgusted. I would like a refund and will be glad to send you the product back if necessary.

If I don't like something I'll tell you so. That is NOT the case with this item, these chestnuts are amazing! I used them as a secret ingredient in an old fashioned cook-off. It was my first time competing against seasoned winners and I have to thank this product for allowing me to take second place. This brand is from Spain and is sweeter than others I have tried and I agree with other reviewers to steer clear of the Chinese varieties.

Wow, these chestnuts were really delicious. I wasn't sure what to expect but for New Year's I always make a special dish which uses chestnuts and Japanese sweet potatoes. I used to pick up chestnuts in syrup at the Asian markets...but I've cleaned up my diet quite a bit and wanted to have organic chestnuts and add a wee bit of maple syrup instead. So... I gave these a try. I almost ate the whole thing while prepping because they were so delicious! It's a natural clean product- and I will be buying this again soon just as a treat to snack on! I should have ordered a few :) Oh- it's not the prettiest looking thing but it tastes great. I mean...it can't beat the fresh ones you steam and peel yourself...good memories eating them with my grandparents in Japan :)

These are pretty good- they are expensive but they are the only ones I can find that aren't from China. I have no idea what the previous reviewer is talking about, though- I have never gotten a single piece of shell in with the chestnuts.
