leaky fountain
This fountain leaks water and has to run for a while to realize it leaks. Not happy with product. Nice lookingfountain but we do not like having it surrounded by water. Water is supposed to be on the inside not the outside.

GORGEOUS, but high maintenance
The media could not be loaded. It's gorgeous, unique, and i love the way the LED lights flicker when the fountain squirts out at night. I've had it a month and so far, water hasn't leaked nor has it flown over the edges where it's not supposed to. My big complaint is that it's fairly high maintenance. Between bugs getting caught in the pump vent and the water evaporating quickly, I seem to have to fiddle with it every day. It's worth it...for now. Hopefully it won't be incredibly annoying through our hot summers.

Quality and durability
This is my third purchase. One was red in 2015, then I gave it to a family member in 2022 when I moved, then I purchased a blue one as a gift to another family member in 2023, then I purchased this green one this year 2025.

OK but the sound is not really pleasant
I purchased this fountain (in green) intending to use it outside my front door in an alcove. It looks ok there, especially at night when the LED lights are on, but overall I wish I had picked a different one for several reasons, the biggest of which is the sound.A previous reviewer mentioned this (unfortunately I did not heed this warning) but the water sound is not very natural because it is amplified by the hollow ceramic of the fountain, making it sound a little like a toilet running rather than a burbling stream. I thought maybe turning the water flow down a bit might help this, but while the pump output can be adjusted, the adjustment doesn't seem to make much of a difference. I've turned it both ways and it seems to put out about the same water flow no matter how it is set. There is no on/off switch, you just have to unplug it, so I put it on a timer. When you turn it on, it splashes water out the front until the flow routes down the front of the fountain. For this reason, I do not see this being used indoors. The power cord is only 6 feet long. There is no outlet within 6 feet of where I wanted this, especially since I cannot run the cord across the alcove; it has to be routed around the edges to avoid a trip hazard. A sticker on the back of the power supply specifically states it needs to be plugged directly into a power outlet upright, not into an extension cord; not sure why but the power supply definitely gets pretty hot. The connector between the pump and the power supply is a 2 prong round connector that I have never seen before not having had a fountain or pond before this one. This initially prevented me from placing it where I intended. Reaching out to Alpine got me a terse reply that they don't sell an extension cord, they just use the cord that came with it (and considering other reviewers have commented about Alpine's good customer service, this was disappointing.) However, after some research I found an extension cord specifically designed for a water feature pump with an LED that connects between the pump and the power supply, and that has worked fine so far. It is available on Amazon, but of course is an additional purchase. The cutout to access the inside of the fountain where the pump goes is pretty small and I had trouble sticking my arm in there far enough to make sure the pump was sitting with the suction cups on the feet on the bottom. It also makes it difficult to see the water level.UPDATE: I ended up relegating this to my back patio where the listening audience is smaller and getting a different type of fountain for out front where I had it. Not that I wanted to spend extra but I was embarrassed by the sound that greeted front door guests.

Disappointed
A few issues with this. Had to return.1/ in the instructions, it says that for proper care if kept outside, you need to spray this with one of their products every 6 to 12 months. This would be helpful to know prior to buying.2/The LED light is bright, cool white they would’ve been much better off to put a warm yellowish one. The light is horrible.3/I read someone else’s review, I did not really take notice, but this absolutely 100% sounds like a running toilet.4/The power cord is not 6 feet long, which means that you have to plug it into an extension, and even when trying to plug it into my single remote switch plug, it was actually too wide, so if you want to do a remote, you need to get one with a double or triple plug5/So as not to end on a negative note, the red color was very nice as is the green from what I can tell by the website.
