These pencils are perfect for artists, personally i struggle when i put down a dark pencil outine which is hard to erase and then have to paint with watercolours or ect, on top. These pencils give a wide range of choice with skme being very soft to the point its almost a suggested line or the opposite where its perfect for dark areas of a drawing. Overall very happy with these pencils.

A really good quality set of pencils full range of hard and soft perfect for sketching in a nice tin to keep them safe they sharpen really well and are lovely to use worth paying the extra for the quality

Been using this brand of pencils since I was in school, they could take a bit of punishment and the lead inside would almost always remain intact. When I started college I had bought a 12 pencil sketching set that lasted me years. I replaced them with a Faber Castell sketching set which was fine but decided to buy this tin as it had a more comprehensive grade selection and there were less gritty blemishes in the graphite. As ever, the pencils are sturdy and the tone is excellent.

The price is on the high side, and it would be even better with a padded wooden box option, but as a gift or personal treat, it’s hard to go wrong.

These pencils are smooth and easy to draw with,my love of drawing has only reacently come back,and these pencils are making my journey a complete smooth ride,they are a pleasure to use 100% recommend

I have a Derwent set of 24. The full Wooden box set of Faber CastelL. I Also have the rotary 600 full set of mechanical pencils and clutch pencils. And yet somehow these seem to be my favorite.. they really do take Shaun out of the graphite

I prefer these pencils over any other for drawing and shading.

Ça doit faire plus de trente ans que j'utilise cette gamme de Staedtler (Et j'en ai essayé plusieurs modèles). Selon moi, "Mars Lumograph" fut et restera l'un des meilleurs crayons graphites "made in Germany"... et même au monde parmis les excellents crayons graphites japonais. Les crayons "Staedler Mars Lumograph" résistent aux envolées créatives et sont assez précis pour effectuer des traits détaillés. De plus, le bois de ces crayons s'aiguisent facilement. Et puis, le prix reste relativement raisonnable. Un grand classique!
