The minute I cut the bubble wrap off the glass jar I could smell that sweet basil aroma.Sweet, & savory. So much easier & Economical. Not bitter like dried basil. I can't wait to make my tomato salad. I will definitely buy it again.

I have always been pleased with the spices I have received of this brand. I tend to NOT mail order spices but sometimes it just works. This basil smells great. It is completely loose – obliviously has been kept clean and dry. I like a glass jar for any/all of my spices – here it is. The bottle opening is a good size to dip, spoon, shake or otherwise dispense the contents easily. Truly, no negatives with this one. For some recipes it is just simply better use of my time to use this freeze dried rather than fresh – and, that is good cooking!

I use this as a primary ingredient to a lot of my meals. It’s especially wonderful in any chicken dish prepared. I crush the leaves to release all the flavors. It’s great in Italian and Mexican dishes as well. All the products made by this company are the very best!

I always look for Litehouse spices and herbs as you can count on them being fresh. The basil has a perfect aroma and taste. A hint: place the amount you want to use in a small dipping bowl and add a drop of water. Let it sit for a few minutes and the leaves will plump up, then add to your favorite recipe.

Just love it! Arrive well packaged with no damage which is a plus considering it arrives in glass containers. Great to add to favorites cooking dishes! Will definitely buy again for emergency storage.
