Excellent book...lots of errors in Kindle Edition
Keith has an entertaining way to tell stories about the development of handguns. I really enjoy this book and will often return to it for bits of wisdom from a writer with a lot of experience. I've become a better shooter already. Some of the information is more historical than useful, since reloading tools have come such a long way, but even these sections are interesting to read. I give this book four starts because whoever made up the electronic edition did an awful job editing. Many words are wrong, there are random punctuation marks, and some typos are mere nonsense. I have seen at least a hundred errors, making me wish I'd gotten a printed copy. Fire the proofreader!

Knowledge of yesteryear
This book is perfect for someone who already likes shooting pistol but wants to gain more knowledge.

Classic text on wheel guns by the late Elmer Keith.
Tons of knowledge by a man that lived in an age when the gun was a common tool on the hip of men of the outdoors. He was also an excellent shot and trick shooter and cartridge pioneer. His anecdotal stories are worth the price of the book and is very entertaining. I left a star off because the photos in the current edition looked like they were photo copied too many times. In the first and second editions they were clearer. Was out of print for many years.
