Sierra International 18-3716 Marine Prop Nut Kit for Johnson/Evinrude Motor , white

In my research I could not understand what the difference in the 18-3716 and the 18-3716D was. With the D being $5 cheaper, what was different. The images presented were identical, and the short details for the D model only say “Contains : 3716 Display Pack”. My concern was that this was either a display case for the prop nut kits with branding and such, or this was a mockup, maybe plastic version for a display that was not intended for water use. The thought also crossed my mind that this might be for a reverse thread, or for a saltwater or freshwater specific variant. Thankfully none of these concerns were the reality.I decided to take a gamble and discovered that this is the retail packaged version in a carboard backed plastic shell, while the more expensive version is just in a plastic bag. Not that I would care except for $5 cheaper for the retail D model then the regular. Personally, I feel like this packaging is more suited to shipping inside bubble mailer packs then the plastic bag version incase the Prop Spacer were to be damaged during shipping.Also, important to note, the 18-3716D display pack prop nut kit comes with Nut 18-3705, Cotter pin 18-3742, and Prop Spacer 18-4228. For those who wonder where the stuff we buy comes from and are manufactured, this product is listed as made in Taiwan. This is all important information not listed on this listing, nor on any website I could find, and I could also not find contact information for Sierra International.Well my gamble paid off and this fits nicely on my 90hp Johnson V4 outboard 13 spline prop shaft. My only disappointment is lack of information and support from the company at all.

I bought a new prop and decided to use this kit, I’m glad I bought it. The washer and nut is excellent quality and the cotter pin is very heavy duty.

Everything advertised in this product was there. No complaints about the product itself. I would like to see an extra cutter pin included. I like to have a spare ..just incase.

Item looks good , but unfortunately it wasn’t the right size for my prop shaft. Too small for a 200 HP

I carry a spare prop and needed this incase of problems on the water ... great people to deal with !

The washer part is some type of plastic and looks like it would work. I bought this just to have a spare so I am still happy as the part came to my door and cheaper than going to dealer.

Perfect fit for my 1988 Johnson 60hp outboard.
