Weaver Leather Straight Back Curved Saw Scabbards with Snap

I've used a Fanno pruning saw for years and when I ordered it I was too tight to pay for a scabbard. I made a scabbard by recycling a corrugated plastic political sign. Worked ok, but I didn't include a way to attach it to a belt as I normally used it for trail maintenance and carried it in a backpack. I have declared war on the Chinese Privet trees that have taken over our area and I'd cut, put the saw on the ground, drag the tree away, then have to walk back and hunt for the saw in order to limb up the tree for the burn pile. This scabbard works great. There is a d-ring on the back that a carabiner (not included=pick up a cheap one up at a hardware store) attaches to a belt loop or loop on backpack. It is long, so it'll flop around when walking, but it sure beats having to backtrack to get the saw. I ended up punching 4 holes and used paracord to form belt loops.

I live forty minutes from the Weaver factory so I went there. Their hospitality is unbelievably great. Weaver Leather did some upgrades to my sheath at a very fair cost. That place is incredible.

Even though it is not the same brand as the saw it fits perfectly and you do need a leather Scabbard for this saw as it is very sharp. This leather saw Scabbard does the job perfectly

I needed a scabbard for a hand saw that didn't have one. This works very well for a good price.

This sheath is a necessity for the sharp fanno saw. I use one of those carbuncles to clip it to my pants belt loop. It not only keeps the saw handy, it also helps from getting nicks and cuts from handling the saw too much.

This is a real nice scabbard. The leather is real thick and its well constructed with rivets and thick stitching. I'm sure it will last a long time. It has a steel loop on the backside for attaching to your harness via a small carabiner. It also has a clasp on the front, as seen in the pic, to clip on a handsaw lanyard for locking the saw in.
