Q: How long do these last? Is there any special maintenance or storage required that the description doesn't mention?

1/2 a use! It exploded in my grill! Temp was set at 300. Had 3 slabs of Salmon on it. Heard an explosion, and salt was all over my grill. Now I know I would never use it uncovered!

Yes, quick wash in cold water only and paper towel dry right away. We use a brush to get it clean. Air dry before putting it away.
