Revlon Charlie Blue for Women, Eau De Toilette Spray, 3.4 Ounce

I received 'Charlie' as a gift from my husband back in the 70s when it first came out. He loved the smell which was amazing since most perfumes' scents made him think of bug spray. I wore it to work each day back then and a couple of the men working there asked me what scent I was wearing; they wanted to buy some for their wives. I was at the post office mailing a package in those days and happened to be wearing Charlie and the man helping me asked me what perfume I was wearing. He said he really liked the scent. I have never had comments from men before on the perfume I was wearing until Charlie. As others have mentioned, it disappeared from stores for a long time and then after a couple decades only a few carried it, and it just cost too much to bother with it. My daughter bought a bottle for me for my birthday a few years ago when she found it on Amazon. She told me that the scent always reminds her of me when she was a little girl and wanted me to be able to wear it again. Now I can buy it regularly here on Amazon for a very reasonable price. Every now and then someone will comment on the scent and how much they like it...still, after all these decades!

Love it. Makes me very very nostalgic as this fragrance makes me go back to my grandmother that passed away many years ago. She used this parfum for several years and I used to love it even as a kid. 1) Lovely bottle that has not changed over several years, actually decades ! I still remember it to be the same, from when I was a kid. 2) Fragrance stays ! 3) Has mellow notes that is not too over powering

My signature scent since high school! The “ORIGINAL” CHARLIE! I don’t like heavy, super sweet perfumes. I like sexy, but clean smelling perfume. TROUBLE was an expensive but favorite for many years, but I can’t find it anywhere anymore. I don’t believe they still make it. Sofia Loren had a lovely scent in the 80’s and 90’s, now gone also. Every new scent I find today smells the same and I find them to smell cheap and overbearing regardless of price! I DO want to try the new NATALIE made by Natalie Woods daughters who actually chose the scents used based on their mother’s favorites! So I stick to my classic! In stores it still sells for $28~ Amazon’s price is a steal!

This was my go to fragrance when in my 20s and 30s. It works well with my body chemisty. Now a few decades later, I decided to try it again. A little goes a long way. Im enjoyimg it again.

Was super excited to see this online since it’s been years that I’ve or my mom has worn it. When I got it the bottle was much bigger than I expected and that was definitely a bonus for me. After reading some reviews, I was a little leery of it being too strong, so I sprayed just a small spritz on one wrist and rubbed my wrists together. After 5 minutes the smell was so strong that I had to scrub it off with a wet towel because I thought I was going to throw up. I am so disappointed! I have adult-onset asthma and am wondering if that has anything to do with the reaction; cigarette smoke also makes me gag but Charlie never has. Be warned.

Compré este producto como regalo para una amiga y quedó tan contenta que me ha pedido que le compre más, al parecer es un perfume difícil de encontrar. Pues bien, este vendedor es más barato (como un 20%) que el vendedor a quien compré el otro perfume. El perfume es idéntico en ambos casos, huele igual, etc. o sea que no es más barato por ser una imitación. Por lo demás, como dije en el otro comentario, sobre el perfume en sí puedo decir poco. Sé que es de calidad sin ser un perfume de los más caros del mercado ni estar muy de moda, y quizá para gente joven el aroma no sea muy atractivo, pero tampoco es un olor muy pasado de moda, en mi opinión. El envase es muy práctico, porque aunque no es muy pequeño sí que se puede llevar en el bolso sin problema. Es eau de toilette, así que el perfume no es tan duradero como en un eau de parfum.
