Is this model good for chipping dirt?Or should i get the longer barrel model that cost about $100 less? If its noticably more powerful i'll take this

It's kinda short for doing that unless you are on your knees....it's really not designed for that. it's great for drilling into masonry, brick, concrete..... i would use something like a small jackhammer type tool...and probably corded if you've got a lot of dirt to "chip."
