John W. Schaum Piano Course: F -- The Brown Book

The Schaum series is fantastic but hard
Love the Schaum books. I started off with Alfreds Basic piano method then once i worked my way through all three books started working on these. They are pretty tricky but really instrumental in becoming a better musician. I definitely recommend them. I started with book C and now am on book F. The little snipets of information you find throughout the book are a lot of fun. Now that I have worked my through the Alfred books and most of the way through the Schaum books Ive been branching out and playing books by Bach, Handel and Debussy

How old interests return after many years
I used to play piano when I was a teen and had ended my lessons at the Brown Book. I wished to reach myself how to play piano. It's surprising how much I remember after all these years!

Another book to challenge your piano skills
Have bought all of the earlier Schaum books - however as you work through the levels the later books do not have as many nice pieces in as the B, C and D - still has some you will know and like.

PLAY ON - MORE, PLEASE!
A good follow-on in music tuition that keeps you motivated, without weariness. Very interesting to read and do in this series.
