Nice tasting post endurance workout nutrition. I take it when I’m on the go after training and have no time to eat.

Great recovery powder. I would highly recommend.

One scoop per 8 (I use 12 to get more fluids) oz of water. Shake well and drink. The powder quickly melts into the water without any difficulty and doesn't require excessive shaking. The flavor is a mild vanilla and not overpowering or sweet. I despise sickening sweet drinks and this is perfect for me. This definitely helps my recovery and post workout soreness. I recover much quicker!

To start off I loved the previous GU recovery shake in vanilla so since I cannot find it online any more I decided to try this new formula. My husband and I both tried this shake last weekend after our long runs of 16/18 miles. The shake works - I do believe it helps in recovery. HOWEVER they completely missed the mark on taste. It tasted terrible. I had to choke it down. I liked the taste of the old formula but this one is no good. I will not be buying again and I will probably switch to tailwind recovery shake after we suffer through the rest of the bag. UPDATE: After some trial/error using less water takes away the chemical taste described above. The bag does say to use only 8oz of water (which I missed the first time since the old formula said to use 16oz). Updated to 4 stars - 8oz of water makes the shake a little thicker than I prefer and doesn't always get completely dissolved (I use a blender bottle).

As a runner, this is perfect to have in a smoothie, water, milk, whatever you want. It actually tastes so good and has lots of protein. It also has electrolytes, and has a good amount of product for the price. I definitely recommend!

I was hesitant to buy this product because I had been using the regular chocolate recovery powder for the last 2 years. So when I saw they changed it up, I was slightly hesitant especially because there were so many negatives about the flavor. I gave it a chance and even changed flavors because I had heard vanilla in the old formula was amazing. I tried it after a 16 mile run and was AMAZED at how good the flavor was. It didn’t taste chemical at all. I mixed it with 16 oz of unsweetened vanilla almond milk and the flavor was wonderful. Highly recommend this product if you’re a GU recovery drink user.

My bag didn't come with a scoop. Every protein powder ever comes with a scoop so its a good thing i saved one from another brand. Doesn't mix very well. Always settles at the bottom of my shaker even when I use more water than recommended. Pretty disappointing they only have two flavors of protein when they have so many flavors of gels and hydration powders.

We really enjoy this recovery drink after our trainings. The taste is on the sweet side, which we like, and you can get your protein and plus stuff
