Dermarest Eczema Medicated Lotion, 4 fl oz (Pack of 1)

Let me just say that I am super lazy when it comes to writing reviews. I bought this back in March and it has taken me 5 months to finally write something about it. I am only writing a review because this lotion has been miraculous. I am 25 years old and started suffering from eczema on my chin when I was in middle school; about 12 years old. It was a nuisance all my life to have a spot on my chin that had its ups and downs and never fully went away. It was itchy and at its worst, it was watery and created a scab that everyone looked at when talking to me. The itch was unbearable. There were times when it didn't flare up and that was tolerable but there was always scarring that I had to use foundation to cover up. Doctors had prescribed me both oral and topical medication that did not work or made the symptoms worse. Neosporin and Cortizone 10 never quite did the trick. I just figured this was something I would have to deal with for the rest of life. That is, until I bought Dermarest because I was desperate for the eczema to go away before my wedding. The positive effect was almost immediate. I applied the lotion to my problem area every morning before putting on any other skin care product and at night before bed on clean skin. The itching ceased and I no longer experienced flare ups. The scarring went away after a couple months of use. I can finally stop using cover-up/foundation on my chin. This is incredible for me. It's something I never thought I would be cured of. My eczema has practically vanished. I wish I would have taken before and after photos because the results would make anyone a believer. I just had my wedding last weekend with no eczema in sight in the pictures. I am still in shock at the effectiveness of this lotion. It's even more awesome that this lotion is unscented and has a texture that is just perfect; not sticky or greasy. I'm just amazed and I'd be willing to go out to bat for this product if given the chance. I thank whoever made this formula. It is an answer to my prayer.

This product has been amazing. I’ve been using it for only 5 days and it has already made an incredible improvement in my dyshidrotic eczema. I am still going to be working hard to get to the root cause. But as far as treating and reducing the swelling and itching and even reducing area size this is been a lifesaver!

I don't think I've ever written a review on here. But this truly is worthy and hope that someone else out there with my same problem can discover this. I would not have discovered this had it not been for Amazon. Thanks! There has only been one thing that works on my face over the years and that is 2.5% hydrocortizone prescribed by my doctor. That was the only thing that would get rid of the redness and scaley dry skin around my nose, eyes and sideburns and chin. When I miss one day of use it would come back. But I don't like using that amount of cortizone on my face on a daily basis. For years I went to many dermatologists and tried every product on the market for a daily solution. I had used argon oil and it was working for a couple weeks but then my skin got used to it and made me break out. I have been using this product for a week and it works like no other product I have tried. This works almost immediately. After one day of use you can tell this product was working. After a few days the redness and dryness was completely GONE. I am using it once in morning and once before bed. I actually could probably get away with doing it once a day but after 12 years of this crap I prefer to put on twice a day so it doesn't try to come back. This product does have 1% cortisone in it but there must be some other ingredient (Zinc?) that truly takes out the redness/dryness and keeps the skin moisturized all day long. I think the dermatologist diagnosed me as having contact dermatitis or something like that and they all said there was NO CURE. But I'm here to tell you that this product has cured all issues for me. Finally no more rudolph comments about my red nose/face!! Dermarest has me as a customer for life.

I love this stuff, but I'm a bit disappointed with my recent shipment. Order on 6/29/25, product expires on 10/2025. Guess I will have to see if this happens again the next time.

My daughter's eczema is pretty bad especially on her legs, back and wrists. This product clears up her eczema by the morning when applied at night. It's texturs is smooth and not too watery and mostly unscented. So overall a good product.

So I've had eczema in my ears and on my face for years. I've gotten creams from the dermatologist, spend bank on facials and I've tried lots and lots of creams. The eczema in my ears was THE WORST thing I've ever experienced. If you google eczema in ears and look for pics, mine were the worst of the pics you can find. I would manage daily discomfort with Vaseline or a similar product but the itching and redness was unbearable. I stumbled across this in one last effort for comfort and as soon as I saw a review for someone else and the ear thing and how great it worked - I bought it. It's the most amazing product and I do not know how it works but it works and it made my issue go away as though I never had one. Now I use it probably twice a week for maintenance but it WORKS. I highly recommend it. It's like a very, very light cream and goes on so easy and soaks in.
