U.S. Divers Youth Coral Mask Island Dry Snorkel Mask with Hingeflex Jr. Fin and Gear Bag Set

I got this set for my 6-year-old for Christmas. He mostly uses it in the pool. The mask is comfortable, he uses this the most. The fins are also comfortable and are easily adjustable, without slipping. He has a little trouble with the snorkel and doesn't use this as much. I specifically got this set because of the dry snorkel, but I think that makes it too hard for him to use. The top closes up a lot and he can't breathe out of it. Maybe he is too young for that. The carry bag is very convenient.

My daughter is 5 years old (though she is from a tall family so probably more like your average 6 year old). We got L/XL size. The fins work great and are nicely adjustable. Snorkel works well too. Only issue was the mask. It fits and works...but is too large and her low hairline creates leaks with her hair breaking the seal. It works and is ok... but am trying another mask. The size for this set I think only relates to the fins...since the "Coral" mask is a one size mask. I'm Trying out the Mares Seahorse Combo Junior Mask.

I bought two of these- one for each of my kids. They used them the same amount of time, in the same way (normal use- not aggressive) and one is fine; the other is broken.Because it was the plastic pin on the side of the mask that broke, there is no way to repair it. I am very disappointed about this and feel it was a very short lifespan.Both the fins and snorkel worked just fine. The sizing was what I expected based on my children's shoe size and the fins were relatively comfortable for short runs. For longer swims, I would recommend a swim sock.

I'd have to say, the mask and snorkel were perfect, fit both my daughters, 6 & 8. But the fins on the other hand. There are 2 plastic pieces that attach to the boot. They are made to be flexible, however they have a notch on them to fit together. These pieces keep coming undone. The first time I saw it (start of her 2nd swim with them) I put it back on. Then the next time she swam, both sides on both fins were off. Very frustrating, as it takes about 2-3 minutes per side to get back on, only with my wifes help. Needless to say, thanks to great amazon return policy they are going back.

Excellent set of mask, snorkel and fins. They fit age group 8-12 years old, and the fins seem better than the other pairs I own.

I bought this set for my 5 year old daughter for a cruise we did to the Caribbean and she loved it.Ease to use and I only needed to explain once how to use the snorkel and off she went.The dry system worked very well and rarely water came inside the mask.
