Stanley Hardware S690-330 CD743 Butt Marker in Black Coated

I like the markers, I ahd the larger units, and have used then a lot in the past and never had the 3" unit,and yes there a marker, to help lay out the hing area that needs to be chiseled out.

Good quality haven't used it much will have to update after more time good thing is could get it on amazon

I purchased a 3 " hinge marker and when I received it I noticed that it was not square. I returned it to Amazon and received a replacement. The replacement was just as bad, it was shaped like a parallelagram. I had to grind it into shape. I purchased a Stanley 3 1/2" hinge marker years ago, it was made in the USA and it is perfect. The 3" Stanley marker I just received was made in China and it is junk. Save your money and make your mortises with a good chisel, the old fashioned way.

Very accurate and a time saver.
