Scholastic Reader Picture Clue, Level 1: Noodles: A Friend for Noodles Paperback – August 1, 2012

I started collecting the Noodles books when my child was 18 months old. She loved them then as much as she does now. She is 3 and a half now and is beginning to read. These are her favorites...and mine too. I love that there is a simple conflict to be solved in every story. Great first readers!! :)

If you are looking for first grade level books with stories which can lead to discussion, Noodles is the choice for you. Adorable character Noodles finds himself in situations you can talk about with your little one, while the text is not on a frustration level for a child "on grade level" reading.

My grandson just finished kindergarten. He can read this book himself. He loves dogs and enjoys the Noodles stories.

One of my 3-yr-old's favorite stories. Rebus readers can be hard to find and often not very entertaining. This one has a cute story and is always followed by "Read it again Mommy!"
