Find out what kind of shape your car battery is in
I used the Konnwei battery tester on two cars (one very old, one brand new), and 4 small lead-acid batteries used in a UPS (Uninteruptable Power Supply). The new car had a battery that was in very good shape, but didn't have much of a charge, as it was sitting at the dealer lot, and was shipped from abroad. The new car was a 2019 Hyundai Kona with a 60 AH, 640 CCA AGM battery, and it was at 100% SOH (State of Health), but at 56% SOC (state of charge). After charging it, the Konnwei unit showed the charge up to 98%. It is important to keep lead-acid cells near full charge, as if they are allowed to sit partially discharged, they will form sulfates on the plates, shortening the life of the battery. The second battery, on a 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe was about 3 years old, and the car isn't driven much, so the battery loses its charge because of typical parasitic current draw from the on-board computer, clock, radio, etc. The pictures show the SOC, SOH, and a photo of the Konnwei connected to the battery with a disconnect switch on the battery. While the battery is good, it shows 82% SOH, as the photo was taken at 28 degrees Fahrenheit, and lead acid batteries don't have as much 'get up and go' at lower temperatures. The four small lead-acid batteries that I checked that came from a UPS were 7 years old, and only showed about 2% SOH, so they were ready to be recycled. I also like the feature where you can get an 'oscilloscope' style display (graph of voltage over time during the car starting up), and so you can see if the battery is getting near end of life, or is still good for a few more years. Both batteries in both of my cars showed good starting performance at 30 degrees Fahrenheit. This is a must-have for folks with cars more than a few years old, as you will know when to replace the car battery before it gives you trouble, and leaves you stranded somewhere. This unit uses a new technology where it judges SOH from the rated CCA (cold cranking amps) and the internal resistance of the battery. An excellent tool to add to your garage.

Works great but could use a longer cable.
This battery tester definitely works well with car batteries. I was a bit confused because in the images it shows batteries that appear to be smallish 12AH gel or AGM batteries. Some users talk of a "quick test" which prompts you to enter the AH of such a battery to test. I could find nothing in the menu like a quick test and the lower limit for current seems to be 100 amps. That said it appears it can be used only for large "car type" batteries. As to it's ability to test a car battery it appears to be very nice. The information it provides looks very good and an anxious to test a poor battery with it to see what it shows. One drawback is that the cord is short and you cannot connect it to a battery and bring it inside a car with you. This makes it difficult to follow the instructions like "start the engine" and "rev the engine to 2500rpm for 30 seconds". The cable issue aside it is a very nice battery tester.

Works much better than my ordinary voltmeter
I wish I would've had this when my daughters Honda alternator died. My voltmeter showed it was putting out 14 volts as shown by my ordinary voltmeter. If I had this product at that time, I could've done a charging test and seen that the alternator was actually not charging the battery (in conjunction with a carbon pile tester) and would've also diagnosed the a/c ripple that my son's subaru had in his failing alternator. I could've saved myself $250 on my daughters car, which is the difference in price between doing it myself and hiring a mechanic to do it, as changing an alternator is fairly easy compared to most repair jobs on a car. This is a neat little instrument, and I like it very much. I will use it in conjunction with a carbon pile tester to do a complete test of my vehicles charging systems in the future. I would also recommend buying an amp clamp instrument to see how much current the alternator is putting out at various engine speeds, and see whether the battery is taking a charge from the alternator.

Best Battery Tester
Battery Tester was everything it was described to be, packaged very nicely, looks very professional. No internal battery needed just hook it up to your car battery and it comes on by itself. Much better screen than those other testers out there, easier to read and gives you a very bright readout. Measures everything you could want battery voltage, cranking amps and charging status. I have tried a few of the others and this one is faster with the tests results. Unit has a great warranty and you can even update the software on it, unlike most of the others. Case is plastic but it is very solid, it has nice long cables on it and the alligator clips are really heavy duty with great bite. Instruction book is nicely laid out but honestly it is so easy to use you won't need it. Like the others there is no case but the box it comes in is very strong with a nice compartment insert, which is great for storing. This one has everything you could ask for in a tester, don't waste your time with the others. Seller is very professional they know how to take care of there customers.

If you own batteries, you should own this
This tester is so useful. I recently had to test, charge, and reinstall a car battery a couple of times because we couldn’t get t to the root of the problem right away. That’s what made me start looking for a tester that would tell me more than just the battery’s voltage. Without reading instructions or looking at all the tester’s option, I was quickly able to test the battery’s terminal voltage, the cranking voltage, and the car’s charging system. The tester only required that I input the CCA (cold cranking amps) of the battery being tested. These are usually the larger numbers listed on car batteries. There are other options to test AGM, SLA, and other types of batteries. I feel like this is so useful since I have just about every type of battery out there in kids’ toys, mower, alarm system, and UPS battery-backups. Another really useful feature is that the tester will tell you when something is normal or within a normal range. That’s great if you’re like me and have a hard time remembering specific details like that. Last but not least, I love that I can get firmware updates from the manufacturer (which btw I did). I imagine that like all modern electronics, bugs can be fixed this way, and new features or improved performance can also be delivered via the updates. Now the hardest part is deciding if I’m keeping the tester at home or carrying it with me in my truck at all times.

Easy and quick to use
While viewing DIY auto repair channels on Youtube, I came across Conductance Battery Testers. While looking up a few models on Amazon similar items came up such as this Konnwei KW600. I saw some videos and looked at the specs. Obviously, I had my doubts about something inexpensive doing so much. I received the product the next day and tested a deep cycle AGM battery out of the boat, then my car and then another car. It took me more time to open the hood then it did to do the testing. A main feature I looked for was the milli-Ohms to help me determine the health of the battery. This product does it all for testing my batteries, alternator and starter. There may be more expensive one out there, but I can't see what they do that this doesn't. This is almost as much fun as finding Pokemons. I'm looking for more batteries to test. I would recommend this product to anybody who doesn't want to get scammed by a dishonest mechanic/shop. Know what is wrong with your battery, starter or alternator, then find the best person to fix/repair/replace the part if you decide to let somebody else do it. The knowledge will save you and your family $$$. I think anybody of any age could use this device since it is very intuitive. I'm now looking at more of their products for diagnostics.
