We recently moved to a small apartment with carpeting everywhere except the bathroom. Including the kitchen! Who carpets the kitchen where you cook? But anyway, back to the product review.I wasn't sure what to expect for the price, but also figured I could not lose to give it a shot.I am very glad that I did!We have two cats, and of course, the hair and the bane of my existence - kitty litter kickout.Our bagless vacuum does a great job on the litter, but it doesn't go up the hose - it is too heavy. I have to turn the vacuum upside down for the litter to dump out of the hose. Kind of a pain, but it was what it was.I am very happy to report that this little manual carpet sweeper does a GREAT job on picking up cat hair, and even kitty litter! Yay! It handles nearly everything so far. It likes to pick up in one direction the most though - if you drag it backwards too much, it sometimes dumps a little bit of the contents back on the floor.The handle works loose a lot, but that is a simple twist, and not a deal-breaker.It is very easy to dump - just turn it over and press your thumbs on the indentations on the bottom. One side at a time pops open, and you dump your contents into the trash. I was amazed at how much this little guy picks up!It also comes with a plastic "comb" to go down the main brush to clean out leftover hair and such.Overall, it works so well, I will be getting another one soon to just leave in the kitchen. It is also by the door to come in, so most of our tracking dirt, and kitchen crumbs, etc are in that one room, so I wanted to have one handy.I recommend this little gem. If you want perfection, you probably won't get it, but you are unlikely to have it with carpet sweepers 2 or 3 times the cost either. There is a limit to their abilities. This one certainly does exactly what I had hoped it would do. The kitty litter was the biggest surprise, but it picks up cat hair that we don't even see with our eyes. Very pleased.

This carpet sweeper works better than the Bissell I bought last year. It cleans the fuzz, dust and bits of whatever off the carpet in my apartment easily. I haven't tried it on hardwood or tile floors yet. I have arthritis in my hands but was able to assemble everything just fine. The handle on this one is sturdy--no flexing or bending when in use. Hopefully it won't fall apart like the other sweepers I have used. If I have one complaint its that the handle is not very long but its not a big issue. Overall I'm really pleased with it.

For the cost it does what I wanted, a quick clean up. For hard surface floors it does a pretty good job, might have to chase sun flower seeds shells across the floor a bit by the back door. The seeds tracked in is what I wanted this for. Sweeping the carpet, low pile, requires several back and forth sweeps but gets it up. It is very light weight and so easy to empty. The handle is short, I am 5'1" and I bend a bit but not a big deal for me. On the whole, I would suggest this sweeper for a quick clean up. Not for a total clean up!

Well made, easy to assemble, and picks up and holds the dirt until you empty it. Picks up cat litter and pet hair really well. And the little brush cleaner that comes with it and clips to the handle is very handy and useful. I highly recommend it.

Quick pick up job, not as good as a vacuum....but easy to grab and use. I had 2 problems with this sweeper. The handle sections keep getting loose . It comes in 3 sections and has to be screwed together....so I put thin tape on connections to help secure them. I also find it difficult to empty. After getting the trash reservoir open, all the trash DOES NOT COME OUT. I had to use a dust buster to get everything out. Hard to explain but a button or lever might help. I would not recommend this product.

While this is a lot more modern than what my mom used in the 60's, it is the same technology and still works great! I live in a small 1 BR apartment and the smaller vacuum cleaners that I have room for just don't do the job. This works really well though! It's a little tedious to clean the brushes but it picks up debris on the carpet (including cat hair!) much more efficiently than the smaller vacuums. Happy with my purchase.

Got this for work, have a small 10’x12’ treatment room for facials with hardwood floors and an area rug. Generally mop the floor but the new area rug was starting to look a little shabby and wanted an easier option than to wash it in a washing machine. Liked that this sweeper said worked on both hardwood and carpet as another one I was about to purchase said not for hardwood floors. Assembled this quickly and swept the floor of my treatment room and hallway. Super quiet which is nice and the floor definitely looked cleaner. I flipped it over to empty the contents into the trash and was amazed by how much dust and hair was collected. So much faster and easier than mopping. The comb/cleaner helped to easily untangle/pull off the hair wrapped around the rod. So happy with this purchase. I have several other cleaning products from Casabella that I’ve always been happy with and this was a winner too

My wife and i were really impressed with how much German Shepard hair it picked up. We purchased particularly for 1-2 rugs that our power vacuum would get stuck on but when we tested the Casabella on other surfaces, it was impressive especially for the money. Easy to clean and the cleaning brush works adequate.
