I recently got invisalign, and my lips were so chapped, they'd crack and bleed and the corners of my mouth were split and hurt soooo badly. I tried my favorite chapsticks, coconut oil, healing balms, and nothing would heal it with the constant putting in of aligners, taking them out, and cleaning of my teeth. I decided to try Chop Saver and was excited because not only is it a clean ingredient chapstick, but it actually works!!!! My lips healed within a few hours, the cracks in the corners of my mouth healed in 2 days, and I'm no longer looking awkward with dry, cracked, peeling lips like before. It's now part of my Invisalign routine - after brushing, flossing, and putting aligners in, the chop saver goes on and my lips finally feel good.

Love this stuff! I also keep a separate one open to use on my cuticles. Works wonders for those dry, cracked winter hands; better than water-based lotions.

Tried a few natural or artificial chap sticks by a trumpet player. This is his favorite (96% 4-5 star reviews didn't disappoint). It's expensive, but it really saves his lips.

My son is a trumpet player and he swears by this chop Savers bomb. He says that it works better than anything else on the market when you are a brass player.

I absolutely have to have something moisturizing (lip balm, lipstick) on my lips at all times due to skin sensitivity and an arid climate. I was interested in this lip balm because it was created by a musician and I wanted something to use when I play the flute to minimize getting the mouthpiece greasy. Not only am I finding that it barely leaves a residue on any surface (on the flute, on drinking glasses, etc.), it does a much better job than the lip balm I’ve used for the last couple of decades for keeping my lips moisturized and comfortable in Colorado’s dry climate. I thought at first that I’d go back to my old lip balm at night to save this more expensive one for daytime/practice use, but ended up switching out the old version for ChopSaver after about an hour, as my lips feel noticeably so much better with ChopSaver. I would never have believed there could be that much of a difference, but there is. I can use a lot less of it, too! What a great find.

The last time I used this product was several years ago. I switch around a lot, mostly buying whatever is convenient - but I try to get stuff that's natural. It seems a little 'waxier' than last time I used it - not sure if the formula has changed or it's just how I remember it. I would prefer it if it was a little more buttery and less waxy. That is just my preference. Anyway, I stocked up on this for the arid season: Gotta keep my trumpet playin' chops from turning into beef jerky.

I buy this stuff by the 6-pack and have extra on hand for others. You don't have to re-apply it as often as others, and it's not sticky or gooey.
